Well, luckily it wasn't lint, but years ago I bought a used bathrobe from a thrift shop for $10 bucks*. It was in excellent condition so I didn't mind the cost... especially after I got it home and found a crisp $5 dollar bill in one of the pockets. Don't know why the previous owner found it necessary to carry cash, but I thank him for it.

*(by the way, I realize that typing "$10 bucks" seems redundant, but to me it just looks better than "10 bucks" -- that sounds like I'm counting livestock.)

Not likely. That is proprietary knowledge. I am developing a funk detector that will work like one of those wands they use at the airport to find metal.
You pass it over the vintage clothing item, it detects funk and rates it on a scale of 1-10. That way you save your nose and can pass on an item without fainting. :p

The local mod is sexist and will only permit ladies to show belly button lint pics.

Q: I've been saying for years, sir, that our special equipment is obsolete. And now, computer analysis reveals an entirely new approach: miniaturization. For instance, radioactive lint. When placed in an opponent's pockets, the anti-personnel and location fix seems fairly obvious.

M: What we want is a location fix on 007.

Behind the 8 ball,..
I just acquired one of those heavy weight US Army world war 2 over coats. In the pockets were 3 teeth from a red plastic comb and a tiny scrap of yellowed newspaper. :(
I feel cheated.

One of my more interesting finds. Came from a Hart, Schaffner, Marx db circa 1940. Anyone know what to make of it?

Hmmm...what to make of it? Either a vintage reminder around one's index finger or a very, very short noose perhaps?
