Just wanted to give a little sneak peak at my new line of hat offerings. I always thought the middle range of hat offerings needed improvement so I came up with a really good quality hat with a mid range price tag that the average person could afford. Hence the name ' Everyman."

I wanted to start with a Indy offering as that was my first hat offering when I got into this business. I will add other styles and colors soon after the launch of "the Everyman." This is the same factory that brought you the Adventurebilt Henry with the same block, sweatband, ribbon, liner. the only difference is that this is a 50/50 blend of rabbit and beaver. Where the henry was a 20/80 blend of rabbit/beaver.

This hat will have the Everyman logo on the sweatband with a plan white satin liner. This will have the AB/ Penman indy ribbon and will come with it's own Everyman hat box. Looking to under cut the henry and stay in the mid range price. More bang less buck.

I will launch this line of hats with with a pre- order and shortly there after will be adding other styles and colors to the Everyman line. I hope you guys and dolls like it.

Update. I'm waiting on cost for the Everyman hat boxes. Once I get that dialed in. Then I will do a pre-order list. Initial time frame is 4 months from the time I place the order. I'm going to try and stock up myself so after the initial run I should have plenty stocked as to get ahead of restocking these.

The non Indy Everyman hats will be 3 colors. Granite, pecan and dark miss. All with a 1 3/4 black ribbon with a 2 1/2 inch brim. Should be able to get a 3 different creases out of this block. I'm still waiting for a sample to post pics of and get all the details as to put up a pre order list for this as well.

This is great news from John. I received my first Penman hat just before the holidays - the "Penman" In Dark Moss (as shown on his website). I have been coveting this hat for some time now and finally bit the bullet. I must say it is everything I imagined ...and more. John's work is exquisite. This has fast become one of my "go to" fedoras. ( I really do have to post some pics of this hat here!)

When John and I were talking I said I felt he was doing himself a disservice by not promoting his "non Indy" creations more on his website. We all know the attention to detail he brings re. his Indy lids. John can probably make anything a customer desires and I always felt his hats conveyed a certain degree of "manliness".

I look forward to hearing more and seeing some of these new models.

The LC lid arrived Tuesday, and the AB Legacy arrived today. I have to say, HOLY SCHNIKES!!!!! These hats are amazing! absolutely beautiful! The finest lids I’ve ever owned by far! The LC hat is a lifelong quest come true. Nobody gets that hat truly right, except you. From the bow, to that gorgeous brim, to the crown shape you knocked it out of the park! I’ve only owned one other beaver hat, it was an AB circa 06’. The felt you’re using (which I assume is the same Mr. Delk uses nowadays) is so much thinner and lighter. I was blown away by how light the hat is. you were right about the finish too, it came out amazing! Absolutely beautiful, and the softest feel, I can’t believe how soft it is. And speaking of felt, I can’t believe how awesomely floppy the Legacy is. It’s definitely the ultimate Raiders hat short of going back in time and having Mr. Swales make you one. Thank you so much. For the hats, and for encouraging me to stick with firefighting all those years ago, for being an open ear when my Dad was sick.

- a better quality sweatband then the AB henry but with the Everyman logo.

what does all this mean???? you are basically getting the AB Henry but with a upgraded sweatband at a lower price tag.

Yes, a mid width ribbon in gray would be a great hat. Just cannot handle the wide ribbon and the ubiquitous chocolate brown.
