Ya know...I've gone as far as looking into an outside mailbox place. Just so I have a place for my hats to go to. Then I could sneak them in from there...
Now I haven't done that yet...but it may get there soon enough...

Just tell her that the Fedoras are just like potato chips you just can't have one.

If that doesn't work you can do what I am doing I buy a Fedora the wife goes shopping for new clothes and shoes. I just bought four hats from Panama Bob and have one on order. My wife just came home with couple of pairs of new shoes and clothes. :eusa_doh:

PS: This works both ways! Probably there are just as many male spousal units who treat the women in their lives like gigantic Barbie dolls. A lot of women's fashion doesn't seem to be explainable any other way.

You could also remind her that the number of ladies shoes tends to be tied to "shoes & hand bags have to match!"

As such she probably buys more than shoes when shoe buying.

Most men only buy hats when hat buying.
