Great article. I'll have to get down there to see that new super steamer on his bench. Maybe time for a facial.
Great looking. We're having a totally unexpected, and verrrry welcome, cool spell, and I wore my NW Hats "Colfax" today:

It is "almost" orange enough to be a OSU Beaver pug. For the right event, that will be my story.Very nice, Red! Nice color choice on the pug!
Love the hat and suit Red, looking sharp!
Another great trip down to Mike's in Eugene. He has some really cool new hat making goodies. I should have got some images. I picked up my custom Panama. Great feel to the weave, smooth and even. The edge weaving is done the "old fashioned way" according to Mike. Very happy with this summer time daily driver.

Great photo! Glad your trip was a good one!Spent a wonderful couple of hours with Mike today. I remembered to bring my camera to take pictures of new hat making machinery. I'll put together a post for the Hatter's Tools thread, cool stuff. Mike reflanged a couple of hats, dropped of a couple for restoration...whipstitch is now a reality.

I am excited to see this! I know you were looking fairly hard to find the Panama Stetsonian but this is going to turn out even better I'm sure!Im working on a new project with Mike Miller. He's had a few larger crowned Panama hat bodies that he's blocked in the past to the more traditional Panama hat styles. His earlier attempt with the larger Panama hat body in a Raiders style is still an unfinished work in progress.
With a new slightly larger hat body, the concept hat we are designing and developing will incorporate a few certain aspects of the crown, brim flange and broader pinches of this Tesi Panama (2 and 3/4 in brim) with the traditional "Raiders" style project hat Mike has been working on. The Tesi pinches will "meet" the Raiders pinches. The Raiders brim will "meet" the Tesi brim and the traditional Raiders center crease will "meet" a more traditional Panama crown crease. The first 2 pics are of Mike's "Raiders" style Panama. The last picture is the Tesi Panama.
Stay tuned...
Thx. I'm hoping it wiil. Def will be some kind of hybrid.I am excited to see this! I know you were looking fairly hard to find the Panama Stetsonian but this is going to turn out even better I'm sure!
I like this, more images please. Noggin shot or it didn't happen.View attachment 76841 This is my Northwest "Playboy" hybrid. Whisky, 2 1/4" brim, 5 3/4 crown and 1 1/2" ribbon. I only have 3 very good hats, My VS Silhouette, the Fed IV, and this baby. No dough for anything right now too many other headaches. Really love how this lid fits.
If my NW custom is any indication, that "Playboy Hybrid" will be a great hat for you for years to come.View attachment 76841 This is my Northwest "Playboy" hybrid.
