*Ahem*
And now for a brief clip of 'As my world turns'
I walk into a semi-regular bar, order a martini and begin chatting up the new and rather cute bartender. This carries on for long enough to justify martini number two and who walks in to the bar? Her fiance. She introduces him as such and her entire demeanor changes. At one point, I zoned out, she asked me if I thought her fiance looked like a movie star. I replied, 'He does look a little like Bear Grylls, but minus ALL of the testosterone'
He takes offense, swings at me and has an impromptu meeting with the wall. One more bar to which I'll not be going back anytime soon...

Uh, belay the CM, make that Law & Order: Criminal Intent--and another plate of spaghetti, probably my last for the night. (Especially since breakfast is scheduled to be cold Pad Thai and Arby's roast-beef sandwich...)

And trying to figure out catalog options for a microbusiness I'm looking at spinning up, and the data I need to finish and deliver those items.

And do whate'er thou wilt, swift-footed time....

...these holy antique hours are seen,
Without all ornament, itself and true...

Shakespeare

Writ about the year of our Lord 1522 by Sir Thomas Moore,
then knight and member of the Privy Council of King Henry VIII,
The Four Last Things: death, judgement, heaven and hell.

"Remember the last things, and you will never sin" (Sir 7:36).

Sir Thomas Moore's dialogue with conscience.
A man for all seasons who knew that a man cannot escape either Death or himself.

Philosophers have measur'd mountains,
Fathom'd the depths of seas, of states, and kings,
Walked with a staff to heav'n, and traced fountains:
But there are two vast, spacious things,
The which to measure it doth more behove:
Yet few there are that sound them; Sin and Love.

George Herbert, The Agonie

Thomas More's The Supplication of Souls; writ by a philosopher who scaled his heart, and plumbed the depths of his soul.

I'm up, for the moment. Vaguely watching MASH with BB King and Buddy Guy playing softly in the background. I need to strip and clean my P9S, just not sure if I want to take on that kind of project tonight.

No signs of life tonight it appears.
I've got a Tyler Perry play on the TV, Buddy Guy playing on my laptop (counting down the days til his new album comes out)and I'm doing some light research for my 2011Q1 shop opening.

I played Clarinet in school. I wasn't half bad, but my interests were distracted by other things and I drifted.
I do have a nasty habit of whistling that song when people feel the need to whine incessantly around me though. Very few catch on...

Ripe men of martyrdom, that could reach down
With strong arms their triumphant crown:
Such as could with lusty breath
Speak loud, unto the face of death.

I'm up, he sees me, I'm down. (no freakin idea why that popped in my head just now)
In all seriousness, I'm up. Just piddling around, switching feathers/pins in hats and I'll probably steam a few shirts out as well.
