Guys I going to keep the story short and show the picture. I had been buying trading and collecting leather jackets for the past 7 years. I got one of most any jacket I want and can afford mostly utility and cycle jackets. I got bored with the jackets and decide to start looking at buying hats to wear. Starting by researching and reading Lounge posts. I do appreciate the dedication, which the Lounge moderators and some of your other active loungers keep the posts organized so the post came be researched. Anyway reading many post on the lounge I pulled the trigger on my first felt hat on June 2 of this year a Stetson 25 Here is the picture story.

Beaver Hat, says beaver bleand on the sweat took the crease I can it well but not the same qaulity as the rest of my vintage hats. This is the hat a wear to work ever day does not show the dust and dirt from construction. The spot is only a water mark

The sweat band from the whippet and linings I removed from the Stetson 7X and Stetson 25

What I mean by new guy is six months ago I knew very little about hats. I had two hats I brought in Mexico and a department store wool hat I wear in winter

That McCloud is pure beaver so far as I could tell. Hell of a tough, yet fine hat.
Love the knot of the bow on the wide binding borsalino.
Nice boots, I especially like the color of the leather on the pair on the right.
I love the creases you have in your hats. Elegant without being overly fussy, like what was originally done.

Well done, Jon.

That is Lucchese goat in a Cordova color from the San Antonio days, the middle pair are Rusty Franklin’s
I glad you like the creases I guess not overly fussy is my style goes with the vintage hats. Although the Whippet was professionally creased

Those are really sharp hats, jonbuilder. I especially like the Whippet and the brown Borsalino with the wide binding; nothing makes a hat look sharper that a good, wide binding. And I do appreciate those boots too, of course! Its the "National Footwear" of Texas!
