It would be good to see the arm and shoulder reinforcements added,it might then look more practical. Also its hard to tell but it looks slightly long(?)
Isn't the 1980s reference due to the fact that there was a 30s fashion revival through until the middle of them? A bit too young to remember it clearly, but I do recall wearing some very short jackets, high-waisted trousers and bold pattern ties to a couple of weddings around 1985/86! As I've said elsewhere, I'm of the opinion that as long as you're the right shape, any jacket can look good if it's worn with confidence [huh]. Context, schmontext, it's about attitude.
