Yes, I paid a deposit up front to hold my place in line. Then when the jacket was ready, I paid the rest. What I was referring to was actually more of a self-regulated savings program over the course of the waiting period.

Yeah....that's the kind I'm no good at! Love being able to sling a few bucks every week or two. Makes it so much easier. Been living credit card free for 4 years....I'm a huge fan of the secret lay away!

Gotta say, I'm very happy with this jacket.
I know Sloan mentioned the pocket placement...
I asked John to move them around to the side and make them more vertical then he'd originally designed. I feel that it cleans up the front of the jacket when worn, and it's definitely easier to put my hands in. ;-)

I really like the weight. It's no where near the thickness of Horween FQHH, but it still weighs in around 5 lbs for the jacket. I don't think I'd want it any heavier around here. It was back up into the 80s today.

Just wanted to update...Here are a couple of pics in my low rider jeans. I'm really happy with this jacket. I think John really nailed the proportions on the back. I always felt that the original was a bit smallish in the middle section
