Was this jacket based on an original in John's possession?

John had his hands on an original Hercules a while back, but this one was built around a Californian (which he does have) and some photos.

Beautiful jacket ... but 2 years wait ... man I'd have given up at 2 months :(

Kudos to you for your patience ..... after that wait I hope it's everything you want ( given JC's work I'm sure it will be !)

2nd hand is the only way I'm ever gonna own a Goodwear :D

That's part of the fun .... you get lots of jackets to try ( I like buying and selling :D)

2 years wait for one jacket ....... I struggle with 6 months for a car ..... and I'd probably only keep it for a year or two ( the longest I've ever had a repro jacket is 12 years and I've just sold it :D )

Maybe I just haven't found a "Grail" jacket .... there's no such thing as a keeper.

I might just get in the queue just so I can sell my position in a year or so :D

Nice GW! Color me lucky to have found my grail jacket- a rare cordovan HH Vanson Enfield.

IMO the Enfield is the best jacket made for the money. No way I could wait 2 years for a new GW or spend that kind of coin but to each his own.

Joel, did you ever get back in line for another (after your ill fitted A2)?

I've been crazy tempted but the Aeronaut has my name at the moment

Okay Guys, the original jacket went back, and has found a good home with someone else.

Here is Imperial v2.0:

John hand-dyed the Shinki horsehide to get this color. The original hide was his seal LHJ103:

Fit pics coming soon!

Yes, I paid a deposit up front to hold my place in line. Then when the jacket was ready, I paid the rest. What I was referring to was actually more of a self-regulated savings program over the course of the waiting period.

Eric, so glad it's turned out well. Congratulations on finally hitting the finishline on this jacket. Think we first chatted about this like 2.5 yrs back!

Wear it in good health, enjoy, and don't forget them fit pics my friend ;)
