Thanks very much! The moment I tried it on for the very first time, I knew it is “the” jacket. The things I look out for are 1) shoulder fit 2) body length (should be above jeans front pockets) 3) when I lay down my arms I should able to see a gap between waist and my arms 4) sleeves shouldn’t be covering my knuckles; if all those points were checked out, it’s the right fit in my book.
Finding the right brands that perfectly fit your body is not easy, it’s all down to trials and errors; and never settle with any moderately fitting or even bad fitting clothes. I hope your J24 will fit you nicely, cuz it’s a jacket you’ll never regret buying.

Got it, those tips will definitely help. It took me a while to get to that realization when it comes to leather outerwear lol

I agree, the fit is definitely what sets it apart. That's why I prefer made to order jackets because I haven't found which brand fits me best off the rack. There is a few stores near me that offers Japanese made jackets but I haven't been able to visit them because they don't let people into the stores and only allow curb side pick up.

Yes very excited to have one in that design. I thought D pockets where a little too much before but that has changed over time.

I thought you wanted a "conservative" cross zip to start out with. So much for that idea. lol. Welcome to the dark side. Can't wait to see it. Post up when you get it.

I do have the conservative 30s cross zip with the aero bootlegger lol it probably will be a hot minute before I get it. I ordered a j24 from field Leathers a while back (end of august) but he is back logged with orders. I'll spec it modestly though (no epaulette/belt loops/no shoulder gussets and zippers on the inside sleeve) just black leather and antique brass hardware

That should be pretty conservative compared to a full blown J24 with all the bells, whistles, and studs. Can't wait to see it.

Go full on... you won't regret it. Many current owners on the forum started thinking it was too much :D

I must admit that has a lot more ooomph to it but I don't ride like you guys so I'd rather ease into it. The accents on yours look very classy.

Honestly, you do not need to ride to wear it... although it is true that I was asked more often if I was a rider when I was wearing it in the US. I think in Europe they tend to consider these more as all purposes jackets and the modern armoured jackets for riders. I might be wrong though.

That's true but it will probably make me more self conscious compared to other leather jackets I already have. I'm not so sure either but I'm sure riders here wear whatever as well.

The key point is not to feel self conscious... as long as you are confortable and have a decent fit (doesn't even need to be perfect, but a good pattern really makes more of a difference), you will look great.

For most it comes gradually as far as I have seen, looking forward to seeing you in a full on crosszip in the not too distant future! :D

It will take a while but sure I'll share it here on your post. Thank you.

I'll be sure to take that advice and just go for it!
I think I have decent outerwear and footwear. I need better denim though, I'll need to invest in selvedge denim this year.

Yes I'm excited too. I'm curious about D pockets. They look very cool, I might miss hand pockets though. I noticed that j24's tend to be short so I'll probably get away with just using my pant pocket huh
