ThanksThe j24 especially looks great! Unfortunately the chest is too small for me on that model, but looks great on you.
Thanks very much! The moment I tried it on for the very first time, I knew it is “the” jacket. The things I look out for are 1) shoulder fit 2) body length (should be above jeans front pockets) 3) when I lay down my arms I should able to see a gap between waist and my arms 4) sleeves shouldn’t be covering my knuckles; if all those points were checked out, it’s the right fit in my book.
Finding the right brands that perfectly fit your body is not easy, it’s all down to trials and errors; and never settle with any moderately fitting or even bad fitting clothes. I hope your J24 will fit you nicely, cuz it’s a jacket you’ll never regret buying.
I'll soon have a j24
I thought you wanted a "conservative" cross zip to start out with. So much for that idea. lol. Welcome to the dark side. Can't wait to see it. Post up when you get it.
I ordered a j24 from field Leathers a while back (end of august) but he is back logged with orders. I'll spec it modestly though (no epaulette/belt loops/no shoulder gussets and zippers on the inside sleeve) just black leather and antique brass hardware
I do have the conservative 30s cross zip with the aero bootlegger lol it probably will be a hot minute before I get it. Go full on... you won't regret it.
That should be pretty conservative compared to a full blown J24 with all the bells, whistles, and studs. Can't wait to see it.
Go full on... you won't regret it. Many current owners on the forum started thinking it was too much
Yes it will be rather tame compared to the real one lol I hope to receive it by spring time
I must admit that has a lot more ooomph to it but I don't ride like you guys so I'd rather ease into it. The accents on yours look very classy.
Thank you so much, more pics will comeGreat collection! Look forward to seeing more photos!
Thank you roadking!I think you rock the J23. Fit is spot on. Nice collection Mr.L.
Honestly, you do not need to ride to wear it... although it is true that I was asked more often if I was a rider when I was wearing it in the US. I think in Europe they tend to consider these more as all purposes jackets and the modern armoured jackets for riders. I might be wrong though.
Show us your J-24 once you got itThat's true but it will probably make me more self conscious compared to other leather jackets I already have. I'm not so sure either but I'm sure riders here wear whatever as well.

The key point is not to feel self conscious... as long as you are confortable and have a decent fit (doesn't even need to be perfect, but a good pattern really makes more of a difference), you will look great.
For most it comes gradually as far as I have seen, looking forward to seeing you in a full on crosszip in the not too distant future!
I need better denim though, I'll need to invest in selvedge denim this year.
