I avoided Silverbelly felt for a fedora mostly because I associate it with westerns and it’s a color I have a lot of. This dress felt is different, more tan and taupe and I love it.
That hat is a Wow!

Great hat proportions for you, love the dents and brim shape and WOW what a nice hat!

Thank you all. Michael does all the work and I get all the congratulations! I can’t recommend Gannon enough. He’s easy to work with and fast. He also steps out of his comfort zone to give you what you want. If you haven’t handled one of Gannon’s recent dress hats you should consider it.

As soon as my kidney heals I plan on selling it to get a new Gannon. I will have money left over for whisky too.

Silverbelly beaver fur felt. 1 3/4” grosgrain ribbon in the color “gravel.” Brim binding is also called Silverbelly. Six inch open crown and three inch wide brim. Michael’s skill is astonishing.
I'm glad to see you creased it, 'cause that first shot with the reverse taper on the crown kinda' ruined it for me. Much better in the other shots, and it looks damn good on you Brent!

Thanks, Al. It doesn’t actually have reverse taper, but that photo sure looks like it does. Michael uses a 7 7/8 #52 block for my hats: straight sided, but no reverse taper.

That turned out great, Brent. Good proportions for your large frame, as well.

That's a superb hat, Brent, but you know it's only going to make you want more!
