I need to find time for detail pics in the outdoors. Using flash inside tends to create shadows.

Gannon Highwayman 100X built on a 3x6 body. Bound edge brim & I requested a 13/16" ribbon instead of the OR thin ribbon, black on black. I chose the Antique color sweat & white liner.

Always great to work with Michael!
Splendid hat, Jack. Nothing wrong with a black hat. I really like the way the brim flange is done.

A while back I bought this Gannon Natural beaver thin ribbon from an FL member. It had a Cattleman crease that had a bit of a rounded look to it & showed a bit of taper. So I pushed it to open crown & straightened & squared it up a bit more to my liking. Moved some of the cup in the flange around as best I could. Decided to go back with a Dogbone crease. Antique finish sweat & brown liner, I think. The pounce & hand of the felt are nice.

Just got my first Gannon!
the felt quality is good but not the best (I'm comparing to the swatches I got from Hornskov, but FEPSA European felt and he had very limited color selection) VS American Winchester. This isn't a comment on his craftsmanship, just an observation, I was told it's Winchester american felt and it's just not quite as nice of a touch and finish but I'm nit picking.

Overall I'm very happy with the hat. Michael was patient, upfront, very clear communication, detailed oriented and always responded to any questions and brought up any concerns he had or wanted to clarify, even the tiniest of details. I am a very detail oriented person, so this delights me. My other experience with 2 other local hatters (now that I know hats were really subpar craftsmanship and materials) would get upset with me if I asked "too many questions" or pointed something out.

DETAILS
I got a Western weight beaver felt silverbelly
3inch flat brim raw edge with a 6 lignes silverbelly ribbon.
Black sweat band, black lining
The crease is a mix of a Dakota/Canadian with a slight pinch (inspired by a hat I saw from Olivia Wilde wear) and a Donkey kick dent front? I can't recall what it's called.

Here she is! I can't wait to wear her out
this is a mix of some photos he sent me and some of my photos I took real quick.

GoodGodYouGotAGreatGannon! Welcome to the club. The longer you have it, the harder it is to take it off! After a few times on your head, it feels like an old friend.
