Leather trucker jacket opinions?

I'll chime in with three original 70s levis Type III plus two modern Type II repro's.

Imo a trucker should be short (and boxy in case Type I or II). The last one as made by Y2 doesn't meet the criterium. It's about two inches too long.

I pulled the trigger on a Vanson maverick. A little snug, can button it with a t shirt, but it’s tight. I usually don’t button my jackets. Opinions? Size up one?

Looks like an ideal fit for me since I don't need to layer up and can get away with a tshirt for the most part of the year. That's a lovely shade of brown and the leather is just nice.

If it’s comfortable fine, if not I’d size up, Trucker for me should be quite close fitting.

I just accidentally bought a suede trucker....

I'll do some pics when it arrives.

And here's a quick photo poncing about in my kitchen after I got it this morning. I'm delighted with the quality and the fit and the whole thing, really. So I've been wearing it all day.

As you can see it's not a straightforward Type II or III, but instead a slight variation on the theme - although still certainly a "trucker".

I'll do some more photos and a proper run down if anyone's interested. Oh, and also: I literally just noticed today that the denim shirt I'm wearing in this photo has got a neat little "Cone Denim" tag on it.

Right, never mind that one.

Because now I've got this as well. This is the Gap one I've mentioned in WJAYWT, but here is a quick 'orrible pic in the sunshine.

I'm becoming more convinced that the sleeves aren't actually short at all.
Great jacket. I remember when Gap was selling these. This would be about 10 ish years ago. My Gap store had it up front on the mannequin. I didn't get one because it was priced way above all the other stuff and now looking back I should have.

Well thank you for igniting my interest in a leather trucker jacket. Denim one I got covered but leather still eludes me. There is a certain piece in Europe but the price is the problem in this particular case.

But somehow I came to the conclusion that I'm more into zippers. Maybe a trucker with zipper?
But the one from Lewis Leathers would still appeal to me.

Please don't buy a trucker jacket with a zipper. It's an abomination.

Related, if I had a grand to spend on a leather jacket (if I wanted to spend a grand on a leather jacket, actually), it would be on a Lewis Leathers trucker. That one is my favorite. Look at how that thing fits!

Have to disagree here. Wrangler has a couple various vintage models that features a zipper and look great, IMO. Although, I think replicating the look with leather is more challenging.
