I picked this hat up yesterday for $8 at a local antique store. It was pretty battered, but a bit of steam took most of the wrinkles out. I'm not familiar with the brand, and it doesn't seem to be one that's ever been mentioned here on the Lounge before. Anybody know anything about Ken Kobb hats? Or have any ideas as to how old the hat might be? It has a back bow.

Nice looking hat there. As far as dating it, I'm not sure. Never heard of the brand either. What's that sweatband like? It looks kind of flimsy in the pictures, and it's unreeded, like it was a cheaper, more for style than anything else, kind of hat. The sewn overwelt and the look of the felt make me think that too, but without being able to feel it, I don't want to jump to that conclusion. I just know I've had a couple porkpies, one of which was a backbow that were that way and looked similar in construction.

What's the felt feel like in person? Fine? A little on the coarser side? In any event, it looks great, and looks to be in nice shape.
