Hey fellas:

I sent out an old Jaxon Iconoclast to Jimmy Pierce Designs a while back for refurbishings. It has now been a month since Jimmy reported receiving my hat.

He hasn't been answering my emails as of late. Last time I made contact with him was about three weeks ago. I've since sent him about 4 or 5 messages, and he hasn't replied to any of them. I know Mr. Pierce is highly regarded among these parts, and I have my utmost faith in his service, but I'm beginning to get concerned.

I've also tried calling several times and gotten voice mail every time. He hasn't returned any of my messages.

By no means am I questioning Jimmy's business - I'm simply concerned about my hat.

Does anyone know if Mr. Pierce is out of town, etc.? I'm sure there's a logical explanation to his lack of contact.

I'm in the same boat Jerekson. I know how ya feel. I bought one of Jimmy's vintage hats he had for sale about a month ago and have not yet received it. I, like you, tried to contact him to no avail. I'm not worried though. Jimmy has a great reputation from what I have seen and I am sure that our hats will be showing up in no time. (not to mention in GREAT condition) No worries, eh? Perhaps he went on vacation? [huh]

All I know is that with evey passing day I cannot wait to get that hat! :D

Yeah Jones, that was my assumption...vacation etc. Let's just hope he's not in the hospital or anything.

Well, I feel better now that I know someone else is experiencing this. :p

I bought one of his vintage hats recently.
He was pretty easy to catch on the phone
(second try I think), very helpful by email,
and prompt to send the hat.

He also did a little custom turn on the hat,
which I hope to share with y'all some time soon.

Seemed easy to deal with to me, so I think he must
just be out of town or down with the flu. One man
operation as far as I could tell.

I too recently was fortunate enough to obtain one of Mr. Pierce's vintage lids (a gray thin-ribboned borso that was as new) & I too found him conscientious, accessible & easy to reach... I feel certain that this is but a temporary aberration ...please keep us informed.

sorry for the delays guys. I was out of town for a while for a trip over my duaghters spring break. I have had to stop answering the phone because I am so busy and have had customers walk out on me. I have not had time to ship reguarly so it has been that when I got a minute I would sneak out and whatever was already boxed would get shipped. After this weekend this should all be remedied. My wifes last day at her job was this past Friday, she is of visiting my family with our kids. She will start woking here with me next week. She will be able to help customers walking in who are interested in other things, and I will be able to focus on hats and making sure things get shipped out. So, after this weekend emails and phone calls should once again be answered promptly, and hats will be going out more quickly. Next weekend will be a really busy weekend as there is a festival in town, along with a carnival, but during the week things should be rolling along.

That would explain things. I was getting a bit concerned. I'm glad to hear your doing well, anyhow.

Oh, and sorry for the abundance of email messages you will find shortly :eusa_doh:

No problem Jimmy. A man has to take care/time of/for the family. :) Glad to hear that all is well.

Just one question though......Can I expect the Rex Hatters fedora I bought from you by April 1st? I go on leave and would love to take it with me on my trip to see my family again. Sheesh....I haven't even held the thing yet and it is already one of my favorites. :D

JP, Congrats on your success and making it truly a family business. I also work with my wife so I know what you're about to go through.

Best wishes,

Aaron
