That's beautiful.
I had made 4-5 m200 variants in size 42. Stock length is like 23.5 collar seam down. Front is straight cut to 1/2 inch drop. Shoulders are wide i think 19.5 plus and neck hole is large. I am 175 lbs 5 ft 11 in 40 chest wear a 42 suit usually. I like a 23 ish pit. I narrow shoulders, add body length, plus or minus sleeve taper. Sleeves are pretty long being an mc jacket. If u narrow 1 inch sh total that is 1/2 inch each side i would not add sleeve length but im not super tall. Also, @navetsea had recommended making the neck opening smaller. I did that on my most recent jacket from them and would continue to do so for an m200 too. @MrProper
edit: i think i sold em all here or listed here and should have specs i can tell ya for that model what i had changed from stock or damon can check if you send him a pic of my jacket should have in my file. Brad from green bay.
I liked the naked cow very much. As for selling the lot I made a new tweak for each jacket I think trying to find the perfect fit. Length, sleeve taper, neck hole, shoulder width, etc and I am still searching lol. Just about emailed JL this am about another m200. Pretty sure I would do the following to a stock m200 black or brown standard cow size 42:I looked for your ads in Classifieds.
Beautiful jackets, the M200. They are also available as M200L.
Let's see.
Naked cow doesn't look bad to me in the pictures. What did you think of it?
How did you end up selling so many of them? Were they not good?
Size 42 should be a good base for me. Except for the length, the measurements are good for a tight fit.
It doesn't seem to have much of a top coat on it, maybe a waterproofing agent? Haven't tried it under the rain yet
Actually, I did ask them about it and Alan said it was in fact a finished Bison with a distressed effect applied. I'l confirm again to make sure but if so, I think I've found the next leather I'll use. I will have it skived to 3oz most likely.
-add one inch body length
Yeah it is a compromise. My columbia is about perfect. Just covers the belt and on the bike it works well. All the m200 worked well on the bike they have about 23.5 inch back length and straight front. Casual wear id add some. Without a thick band like on the chp styles the m200 may curl up a little but no big deal. Could always stop the zipper at the bottom higher up if u add some lengthHow do your jackets fit ON the bike. I am sweating over 1/2" on the front length. If the jacket is too long, the front material has nowhere to go but up. When standing, the jacket ends at the top of my beltline. Most of my belt is showing. I am going with a m500 series.
@Jin431
That’s the jacket that started this Johnson craze for me. Looking sharp! I like the new bottom hem band. It looks as if that was the original design.
Did JL apply a topcoat to the leather at their shop? This is the German BLATTWERK olive leaf tanning right? Quality stuff. Now I got some new ideas.
I can attest that the Masaye leather is super supple, almost lambskin like in terms of drape and softness, but is horsehide so it retains alot of the character and look.
Sometimes I still think I should have something made in that leather, lol.
