Curses - just when our bank account is "in transition!"

Yeah - I don't think that the wife will let me keep vital portions of my anatomy if I spend the kind of coin that 7 1/2's have gone for in the auctions thus far...

Johnnyphi, I don't suppose you could transition for just a couple of months longer? Perhaps a payment plan? No? Ah well...

new hats for auction

OK... Now that the pesky transition is over, I can get back to selling hats. Kidding. It has been a wild few weeks, but I think I'm ready to get back to selling hats. I plan to post more on Sunday.

Are y'all ready?
Did I miss the Sunday post? Don't see any new hats on the Merchants page yet...maybe I'm just jumping the gun!:p

Transition was extended... Hats going up tonight

You didn't miss it. I arbitrarily extended the Transition by one day. I'm posting new auctions, now.

How could I be so blind? There's so much to read here that I had no idea that there were still ongoing auctions for these Jonnyphi hats until just now. Will there be more? Is there a way to buy unsold hats?

Yes and Yes!

I have plenty more hats to sell. What size are you?

Between a 7 and 7 and 1/8 so probably either will fit fine. 22 and 1/16 last time I measured my noggin. There seemed to be several in that size unsold that I would be interested in if still available.

Any thoughts on when we are going to see some more hats up for bid, John? I see another one that would make a good friend for the rest of the boys at my house.

I just got my Johnnyphi- Stetson Whippet back from Optimo yesterday. I rushed the stretching a bit (6 7/8 to slightly over a 7 in about fifteen minutes:eusa_doh: ) using one of those crummy newfangled stretchers, and needed the sweatband resecured. Anyway after a day of stretching on an old fashioned stretcher I tried it on-almost there!:eusa_clap I'll take pictures to post soon. I'm so glad the original went back in, it's the only place that says Whippet.

So, while now I wait for a Schoble from Johnnyphi I just won last auction here's my Stetson Royal Weekender Zephyr Weight. This is the first auction I won/first nice hat I ever bought. Anyone have an idea of a date for this?

Zephyr

Gees Mr. Fish, the Zephyr is really something. I love the model name Zephyr. I hope you are as happy with your piece-of-history Schoble as I am with mine. Careful with that stretcher! Like good whiskey, it takes a spell to get the result you want.

Whippet-good

Thanks gtdean, Boodles.

So here is the Whippet; a little leather lotion, a little steam, and a stretch. And it gets to keep the original sweatband.

Your Whippet is really a looker

If you don't mind me asking how much did you have to stretch this one, one size? I keep eyeing some of Mr Phi's 7's with the idea in mind of stretching one to 7-1/8.

One size and a little more.
At the risk of having some one else competing for size 7s ;) I'd say, from my own experience, you shouldn't have problem.

My Adam Executive from Johnnyphi

I've been wearing this today (posted in What hat are you wearing thread), thought I'd post here...

This is even nicer than it appeared in the photo's. The wide brim ribbon has a lovely green tinge to it (slightly lighter than the ribbon). Goes great with my tweed.
