Cappellificio Rossi homburg in grey. Size 57 (roughly) with the bound brim at 5,5cm and the crown at 10,5cm at the center dent. This is an interesting one. Being located in Monza I expected to receive a woolfelt homburg, but it's not. Upon further inspection Rossi isn't the maker at all, but they just added the liner and a new sweatband. Underneath the liner I can feel a (likely original) crown patch. The liner is glued inside all the way around though and I'd have to tear it to find out. No labels to be found.
Really nice looking classic homburg with some good contrast and a distinct blueish tone to the grey felt.

Panizza Sportsman longhair heather fedora in a nice silvergrey called Sardina. Size 58 with the overwelt brim at 6cm and the crown at 10,5 cm at the center dent. Weighs 120 grams.
This hat has been messed with. Not only by a few moths, who had a go at the underside of the brim and took a few nips here and there. That's the advantage of these longhair heather felts: you hardly notice it. The other one messing with it was standing on two legs (unless the moths changed the ribbon too). According to the label the ribbon is "fantasia", but that's not what's on the hat. Fantastia ribbons are those crotcheted affairs found on seventies hats. Well, taking that off is all good, right? Yes, but only if you do it without damaging the hat. And they did that here: right above the bow you can see a spot where the longhair finish is just gone. Pity really, because it's a lovely hat. It can be covered up of course with a wider ribbon or a feather and it's not that noticeable, but it's there nonetheless.

Cappellificio Rossi homburg in grey.
Having found out that the Cappellificio Rossi puts the brand and internal seals on it, I asked myself who could have been the producer of the beautiful homburg with contrasting ribbons. None of the historic Italian producers have a similar form in their lobbies, perhaps the late Borsalino production may resemble it, but the too many contrasts lead me to think not. I would choose the road to Monza, because they also produced fur hats and not just wool, especially for the market outside Italy. In any case, the hat was restored at a certain point in its life, so I think it came to us with the Rossi brand, perhaps on one of their ancient products

What a shame for a Panizza of great quality and beauty. The moths did an invisible job, the human partially ruined a quality felt. I would have liked to see the "Fantasia" tape too, just out of curiosity. Some of these fancy tapes work sometimes, others are unwatchable. On the felt and this finish I will put my contribution online in a few days.
One size larger and I would have added it to my collection, as is.
Sardina is a fish :)

Thank you, Daniele. I've taken it upon myslef to correct the matter on this Panizza. I'll show the results as soon as I take a picture. Not as refined as Fleur, but a lot quicker for sure.

Recent arrival.
Cervo Bantam in natural colour. Size 57 with the raw edge brim at 7cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Two decorative rows of stitching on the brim and a shark gill bow. Longhair finish. Very nice later production Cervo.

The Cervo Bantam is fantastic and belongs to one of the last great flashes of quality in Italian hatmaking.
I add, in this row, Panizza with the Ediston series (difficult to find) and some Sportsman completed that last season of excellent quality.
I wore one a while back that I think is the same color and finish. I really like this one and always hope to find wearable size brothers. Well done Stefan!
Finally, a nostalgic consideration: the hat was sold in my hometown in a hat shop in the street that used to be full of luxury shops. Today, after having passed from the "rag sellers" understood as sellers of jeans and therefore being disliked by lovers of luxury, it has become the street of chain stores with the consequence that hat shops and other important shops have disappeared.

Thank you, Daniele. Even my wife commented on how she likes this hat, which is rare. It is a pity that all these local and specialist shops seem to disappear and make way for the generic chain stores that add nothing to a city center. But what can you do?

Another Cervo.
Bantam Welterweight by Cervo. Grey sandlike colour called pomice on the label. Size 56 with the bound brim at 6,7cm and the crown at 10cm at the center dent. Model is called Alan Ladd? Or the hat belonged to him, which is unlikely.
The hat needs a good cleaning, but I like its looks. Has that nice angled bow on it as well.

Guerra ribbed fedora. Brown “pure felt,” but no mention of the type of felt and from the feel I suspect it’s wool. The ribbed felt is quite odd to me. The brim is 2 ¼ inches with an overwelt. The open crown is just over 5 ¼ inches. Seems to fit just a bit on the small side.

Cool find, Brent. This seems to have been a thing for a short while. It may seem odd, but a spiral stitch hat would have a similar look to it.
