I love a brown Stetson.

Sign me up as a brown hat fan. My current favorite is my dark brown Royal Stetson, which looks like the Whippets above. I've removed the liner to make it wearable for more of the year, and its 6 7/8 size, oddly, fits me like a 7.

I also have a Kitten Finish Resistol fedora w/ a 2 1/8" brim, about the same dark color, and a Resistol Pacesetter, 2 1/4" brim, with "Maple" on the tag, a slightly lighter shade. All three are great lids.

My dream: a medium to dark brown Open Road or OR clone, such as a Resistol Waco or San Antonio. That would be an awesome hat.

2-1/8" to 2-1/4" brim, plenty of crown, not too much taper...and brown. That's my bread-and-butter hat, Stetson or not. The darker the brown the better (but light or medium brown is fine, too). A bound brim and a bow that isn't too wide are the topping on the cake.
