Oh geez... allowance? Go back to I Love Lucy guys!

In all seriousness, I do all my own ironing and see no reason why that'll change when I get married.

Don't worry, there were plenty of men in the Golden Era who cooked, cleaned, ironed and who's wives gave them an allowance. The Jim Bacus character in Rebel Without a Cause comes to mind. I can picture you wearing a frilly apron like he wore in that movie.:D

Note to Miss N: washing your feet won't help. But please don't stop on my account!

The photo taken a second later was damaged by water.

In due time.
If you can get me to cook, clean as well as eat breakfast and read the newspaper in a suit and tie like every other adult man in the '50s (read: nonexistent) then you can get me to wear an apron.

Oh, I don't expect you to do all those things. As said previously, that is what you get married for. Then you can read the newspaper in the suit while your wife fixes you breakfast. Get with the program.

Haven't you heard of multi-tasking? You can wear the frilly apron over the suit and tie and then take the apron off when you sit at the table.

OK, I'll confess....I wear an apron:eek: But only when I'm doing my manly task of making a living. I build guns for a living and that tends to be a dirty job that also destroys pants and shirts. I tend to do most of the finishing processes on my lap and that is really a mess, hence the apron. I would like to point out that my apron is made of a manly weight of denim....lol

It's OK to wear an apron for certain manly tasks, but I never wear one. If I get dirty, it's my wifes job to get my clothes clean.

There you go and if she can't get it clean then it goes to the dry cleaner and gets deducted from the allowance. ;) :D
I just bought the wife a nice vintage heavy iron. That should give her a good enough work out and build enough muscle so she can carry my son around for longer periods of time.

J

And, carrying your son around for longer periods of time will make her even stronger. This can only be good for you. The stronger she gets, the less she'll ask you to do.
