Just because leather jackets are stiff heavy and uncomfortable, make you sweat in the heat and freeze when it’s cold and are both addictive and expensive is NO reason to just give up on the whole…I was getting ready one evening, trying on stuff & deciding what to wear and one hour in, it hit me - What the hell am I doing!? Listed everything the next day, never looked back.
I've kept all the shoes and boots that I like, which amounts to five and which amounts to all the leather that I will own. I'll keep several pants and four textile jackets that keep me warm on those two months per year and that's that.
BOOOOO!!
A minimalist approach. Very fine. That's exactly what I do too... in my mind.I was getting ready one evening, trying on stuff & deciding what to wear and one hour in, it hit me - What the hell am I doing!? Listed everything the next day, never looked back.

I fell off the wagon already, Aero Waterfront incoming.Did I just stumble upon the “How many jackets are you getting rid of (and how many potential ones)?” by mistake?
Welcome back!I fell off the wagon already, Aero Waterfront incoming.
That will look amazing!Currently, I have a Field Leather Manhattan that will soon arrive sometime next year, as I placed my order earlier this year back in February. Planning on going with Badalassi Nappa Lux, wine cotton sateen lining, all brass hardware with added stars on epaulettes. Currently due to have my measurements taken by Greg this month with my fit jacket set to arrive around Christmas. Super stoked for how this one will come out!
Love this Jo-o-Kay! It’s one of the best western cut suede jackets I’ve ever seen.Jookay rodeo grandpa arrived. It’s cool (I think)!

Got my delivery of two Swedish jackets, a leather car coat/coat and a military shearling parka.
The leather jacket came with at liner that made it surprisingly warm, so it'll be perfect for those not so cold winter days

Also love how the goat skin has aged, while still having some heft to it, it's suuuuper soft and comfortable with a lovely grain.

Second is the beast of a military-parka that's called "livspäls" in Swedish, meaning something like "life fur" in English.
Super warm, built like a tank and very convenient with the big pockets. This one will save me when we get hit with those crazy temperatures that always finds us up here.

Will be super fun to try these beauties out in the "real" coming months.
Cheers all!
Does Gore Tex not work for you in the rain?I ordered myself a non leather coat. Asphalte had a Mac esque offering in ventile fabric. I’ve wanted ventile for years so pulled the trigger. I’ve grown so tired of wearing functional gore Tex type gear when it’s raining. Looking forward to seeing how ventile performs.
They remind me of my childhood. The buttons on the cord safari are so good.
