How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Wow, that is really interesting Terry, did all that paperwork come with a vest?

It has Crown or Coats & Clark pocket zippers, which you don't see very often.

Deerskin holds up really well, obvious discoloration and patina from age but it looks supple

Too tight! Kinda figured but Schotts HH is just superb! I love it. I need this one a size up. This is an older 689 H. Doesn’t have the snaps to secure the collar (which I prefer not having). I’ll more than likely be looking to move this one along and grab a size up.

The catalog I already had. I'm thinking 50s with that transition zipper. This vest is not in the catalog I pictured.

That's the best looking 689 I've ever seen . Must be a big 40.. it almost fits perfectly but then seems tight ...crazy !!

I have a Plainsman in black jerky HH on its way now. I brought back a tan steer hide cafe racer jacket; Hong Kong will make it a bit too warm for either, but this winter should be perfect for both, especially a planned trip to Hokkaido. Will post pics when the Plainsman arrives. My oldest Aero, a Highwayman, is having a zip replaced and will rejoin the herd shortly... The heat-seal bit falling off the zip hadn't done any damage to the fabric, but it was only a matter of time before it started fraying.

I got in touch with Rob over at Eastman again regarding a sized up Windward (size 42 this time).

My size 40 went back to @Fonzie who I think has regretted the trade we made a few years ago, he has mentioned it more than a few times in our PMs since lol.

I'm glad it's going back to him, it's a great jacket. It not only looks great but the under arm gussets give it the best maneuverability / range of motion for your arms that I've had on ANY jacket, by far!

Anyway, after I decided to stick with the black colour this time again, Rob informed me they were out of stock of that size and it would take about 3-4 weeks to have another one made.

True to his word, Rob got back in touch 3.5 weeks later and its on its way to me! Just in time for the turn to cooler weather here.

Here is the stock photo, I'll post up a fit pic and a comparison fit pic between the 40 and 42 when it arrives.

Cross zips don’t usually do it for me but that just looks so class, really understated!

Congratulations! I had this Eastman in black that was amazing. You probably have seen the pics. I only sold it because I got an original that was a size larger.

Eastman jackets don't get much mention here. I've owned a couple of Californians and they were excellent as was the Windward.

Eastman's version is as fine as the original.

Throw me a PM if you would like Robs email address, he’s been fantastic answering random questions for me on many occasions from measuring jackets to giving me his thoughts on fit pics.

The lack of inventory in my size is pushing me to consider jackets I normally wouldn’t. I’ve held fast so far. This looks cool.
I love the design but not the faux distressed hide. Fortunately I know a guy that can fix that.
Ah springtime in Chicago…birds chirping, bees buzzing, flowers in full bloom, and the smell of acetone, thick in the air.

Nothing as glorious as an acetone high on a nice sunny day. Then what, a brown like like time?
