How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Took advantage of the Schott Black Friday sale to purchase a 613SH. The photo below isn't the one I bought but the Schott photos are lousy. Really looking forward to seeing how the Schott Perfecto horsehide breaks in.

I have a 613SH. Other than some of their Horween collabs it’s their heaviest stock horsehide. While not heavy by TFL standards and definitely plastic or vinyl looking at first. Schott HH actually patinas and creases beautifully. That’s the one big thing I’ll give it. I’ve had some vansons and still have one and moved a 5 year old aero. I kept this one because of how it ages.

Good to hear it ages beautifully because that's the exact reason why I opted for that particular model. The consensus seems to be that if you're going to buy a Schott Perfecto, you should opt for their best stock hide.

I did a lot of reading here and elsewhere about Schott horsehide, and everyone seems to agree that it really looks nice over time. But I haven't really seen good photos of just how it looks with aging. Do you have any of your jacket that you could send to me or post?

I’ll try to grab some soon! Somehow on my phone I have picture of all my jackets but this one. But if you just google Schott 613SH I saw a couple beauties. Other than some of their collabs this is the one to get. That much I am sure of.

I’m not sure if it is Vicenza, CXL, or some other variety of horsehide. Labeled size is 46 but it measures out trimmer than the 44 Highwayman I used to own. Here’s hoping it fits!
I was watching that one too. I'd bet it's Vicenza based on the color.

I would be very interesting to know your definition of heavyweight. As far as I know, their jacket never exceed 5lbs (4.5lbs most likely) in size 42-44.

That’s why I said not heavyweight ha. Schotts heaviest stock horse. Not heavy for TFL. My Vanson crushes it. The Aero I had was a little heavier. It’s just Schotts thickest/heaviest stock horse. And it truly does age beautifully and wonderfully. That’s one thing I’ll stick up for. But I’m not saying it’s close to what we would consider heavy.

Aged Schott hh is hard to beat. The more wear, the better. Looks like garbage at first. Not as heavy as Vanson, that's for sure. But not printed, with a heavy topcoat like vanson either.

Shiny black hh, shiny heavy duty hardware, One piece back, American icon. Whats not to like? A must have in a cross zip collection.

I lost about 20lbs and my 48 doesn't fit me as well. It is a little too big on the bike. I haven't been wearing it as much as I should because of that. I am gonna try and lose a few more pounds and get another perfecto FOR SURE! I might even try and get down to a 44 (easier said than done). I am gonna give the 613sh a look.

Thanks for posting photos--looks great. And your reasons cited for opting for Schott HH are the same reasons why I purchased one.

The Vanson Model B is still on my radar for a possible later purchase. But getting a new Schott 613SH for just over $700 is a good deal, to me. And I'll enjoy the experience of breaking it in over time and making it MINE.

Just ordered the Aeromarine in russet goat from Aero’s sale page. Hopefully it will arrive next week, when they’re open again after Christmas. It looks to be spot on my size, with a slight risk that the sleeves could be on the short side. But I think it’ll turn out alright.

Been looking at this style for a while now and when I saw my size on the sale page I just had to try it. The russet goat looks very nice on pictures as well.

I have been looking at the Aeromarine for awhile now. How do you like it? How is the fit?
