How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I like it, especially the brown color, stitching and shoulder caps!
I saw this one on Depop the other day (tiny size) and of course went through the typical childlike fit of “why can’t this stuff ever show up in my size”.

So when I saw a 42” I had to give it a shot. I know the site here is golden age but I am firmly in the 70’s pig iron age now. LOL.

The thin leather wouldn't bother me, you can at least wear it on cool spring and summer days and always look good!

My early 50's woolrich 503 arrived today, and I'm very happy with it.
It's in great condition, just has some lint and such here and there to pick off.

The lining is in excellent condition.

As are both storm cuffs.

I don't think it was worn very much, and it definitely hasn't had any critters in the game pocket.

There's a slight smell of some old cologne , but I don't hate it.
If this thing smelled like Avon wild country I'd probably have to get rid of it.

I have this good looking jacket on its way. If anyone knows anything about it please share! View attachment 584564

Roughwear Clothing 2 way pocket. Here it is with the Hercules label and lighter lining with an Aviator collar. I wanted that jacket, you did well even with the stitches. The lining is probably an order for that retailer

My jacket has a Talon sunrise zipper. The jacket is sold. I would guess 1941. The jacket was sold before I knew of the date code.

Your jacket appears to have a changed the zipper. The pull that is pictured is a 50s. I can't really see the zipper stitches. An original zipper could have been several configurations. The gather sides indicate a war time shortage c.1943 in contrast to mine with the metal parts, probably pre-war.

I forgot to download the pictures of your jacket and stunned to realize it was not an Aviator, but a straight zip. Your jacket goes back to the simpler front design of the pre-war jackets.

These 2 way pocket jackets were a staple in the Roughwear line being produced with Windward, labels, Admiral Byrd labels, and Hercules labels from the late 30s through the later 40s.

Then the Variation as @jeo pictured above. That jacket style is patented and produced during the same time also with a Roughwear label.

Pretty much a run down on the popular Roughwear style jacket. The early model came in brown, suede, some tweaks. The 40s jacket I have only seen in this Brown color.

I have a shearling topped dress coat, with four similar ones on the way, as I am attached to the look! Worst part, I probably have a coat or jacket for every occasion...twice!

The East West is a week late tomorrow and probably a couple of days away. I do have two others that should be arriving on Tuesday, hopefully three in a Day.

Got to mail one to Canada tomorrow. A fellow came from the past just as I was doing an inventory. Got one I don't wear.
