How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I'm looking forward to hear more about this jacket.
Sure. I will post more of it in the JL thread.
Please excuse the homeworking outfit.

I bought this jacket today on an offer from seller. I stumbled on it while searching for 70s leather jackets. The seller described it as 70s, the collar and pockets have a 70s vibe, but also a 40s vibe. Lack of a zipper really complicates dating a jacket.

Is it German? has a bit of that look too? The look also reminds me of Block jackets from the late 30s. The pockets that look like eyes.

It was not expensive so I took a shot at it. I like a good jacket mystery when I can afford it.

Looks like epulates are removed. (sorry for the spelling) Nice graining. Size 40/42

Whoa, that’s a dandy looking jacket Terry. It maybe a 70’s but it’s sure got a 40’s vibe. I love these vintage button ups.

Button ups like mine and the Topline are somewhat scarce. The Zipper just made Buttons a bit old fashioned. I think mine is from the early 40s. The lining, the cuffs, the style, the heavily grained leather. I can't get German out of my head.

Fantastic jacket! I agree it does have German/ European vibe to the design. Very cool!

Here is the Sears Topline in the 1943 Sears catalog. Button jackets declined in numbers with the advent of the zipper. Button jackets have a return in this catalog probably due to war time shortages/fears. Listed with Capeskin or Suede in this listing.

Yes, mine is capeskin. Thank you very much for the info. I was surprised because FakeAlpha listed mine as Pony Hide but I knew they are wrong the moment I got my hands on it.

I'm still waiting for my 50's woolrich, the seller is located in my state and they even printed the shipping label out ASAP which gave me hope of receiving it quickly, but then they went and waited 5 days to ship the damned thing.
ETA is tomorrow, but being a Saturday it'll probably arrive at the post office sometime in the afternoon and I won't have it till Monday.
