How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I’ve got a pair of IH N1 deck jackets on the way, one in khaki and one in olive.

I think I like the khaki model better but the numbers looked a little closer on the olive one. When they arrive I will see how they look and fit in person, I will also get the girlfriends input. One will be a keeper and the other will be returned.
I’ve always been curious about the IH deck jacket. I went with one from Pike Bros for a couple years. It was a great jacket, shorter than most (which I actually liked) but man, that thing was a brick oven! I just don’t find myself outside enough to use one. I have no doubt that if you are doing electrical work outside, the weather will be of absolutely no concern.

This is a “potential”. I keep asking myself if I can do knits. It’s a HH fidelity. I do like it and the price is right. Liner was replaced with heavy brown corduroy…that’s my jam.

Beautiful work. I love those corduroy lining jobs. I am thinking in doing the same but all heavy suede leather at the bottom sections.

That jacket is like a tank. Look at all that leather around the lining. This is the way to build a jacket. Just beautiful quality. The horse also looks so soft and pliable.

Ton,
This will be my second IH deck jacket, I bought the Indigo model off their sale page a couple months back and I really like it! Like most things from IH, if the fit is right it will be a favorite for sure.
I haven’t had much of a chance to wear it as the weather is just starting to cool down here. To be honest, it is certainly overkill except for a few of the truly cold days that we see every year here. I don’t think I will wear the jacket when I am working because I would overheat instantly.

Spotted this and hit BIN. Was under $80. Polo wool HB. Guess I’m getting impatient waiting for the SJC to come in. Looks decent. Quilt liner.

Like @El Marro I have one in Indigo. It´s an XL, and the fit is on the generous side, but it´s ideal to fit over a chunky sweater. These are really (really!) well made, with a super sturdy outer shell and all the details you want (snap closure on handwarmers, inside pocket, storm-cuffs).

Only thing is, I snatched up a RMC N-1 lately, and it´s just a little bit more "cool". Construction and detailing in fact is inferior to the IH, so I don´t really know what to do. Have little use for both of them, but I will keep them over the cold months and see how I do.

I bought them from the IH website 27 minutes after they went live. I was lucky as I took the last XXXL in both colors. I knew that these were going to be released soon so for the last couple weeks I’ve been checking the IH site at 8am my time every morning. Yesterday I slipped up and didn’t remember to look until 8:25!

Tom,
That jacket looks great man! I also find the fit a bit generous but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it still looks sharp, unlike some winter coats that turn one into a shapeless blob.
I have been curious about the RMC myself but I was so pleased with the fit and construction of the IH that I decided to double down.

Order placed for a Lewis Leather Corsair
Sounds great - did you go for light or dark brown sheep? I am toying with going for a Super Monza sometime soon, but cannot decide on brown sheep or black vegecow….I think either could work really nicely with the padding once it starts wearing in….but in the meantime my BRG Western order is in……the clock starts now!

Dark brown with Dogtooths tartan lining.
The Monza I also had in mind, but wanted to have this without the pads, otherwise this is too similar to my Racing Jacket. Unfortunately, these don't come without the pads.
Dominator with the chest pockets is too similar to my Sheene, Route 66 and Cafe Racer.
So Corsair because it is something different from the style.

Ah - I see your thinking! I have a similar dilemma but went down a different path….I have a few LLs in different styles and colours etc, but the SM is one itch I think I cannot resist scratching, although the Cyclone is the other final fork in the road. Will have to cogitate a bit longer and also see how my Vegecow Dominator keeps developing - so far I have been really impressed but I am hoping the teacore does not suddenly appear ridiculously fast, but emerges more naturally with wear. A few months in and its not giving me any worries yet but I have not seen any old versions of that leather, so its a bit of a shot in the dark - it is a really lovely hide though and its a toss up between that and the sheep if and when I pull the trigger on the SM….
Ps - we should hopefully get our new LLs around the same time - looking forward to comparing notes!

You living in Curaçao & having bought this to add to your extensive leather jacket collection... makes me feel better about buying a heavyweight wool trench coat (Coldwar Polish Army surplus) after having already acquired a sheepskin Bekesha for this winter along Lake Michigan.

{Edit: This was meant in response to the post of @marker2037, but apparently another TFL posting SNAFU intervened}
