How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I think the result looks fine - I think better than the Fine Creek Leather The Nostar jackets with cut belt and epaulets...damn I think FCL did steal his idea :D

View attachment 328963

The jacket was not "altered" in the proper sens of the term, they literally just chopped of the lace holders with a stanley knife FCL style! (you can see the side of the cut edge in your last pic)
To me an "alteration" would have been to unstitch them and restitch the panels leaving no sign they ever existed.
Cutting them off is IMO a slight "botch up"...
In the end, as long as you are happy with the result and mention it when you sell it on it's all good, but i don't think i would have bought it...

Yeah you're right they did cut them. I had to REALLY look but the edges are there. Robbie, take it to a tailor and have them properly removed.

Oh, right! I didn't see the back measuring photo until now. Yeah, they just sliced them off. The seller is lying to you @Robbie79 , no specialist laid a finger on that jacket. Someone just cut 'em off. What @Carlos840 says, an actual professional alteration would include opening the seams, removing the leather bits and stitch it all back up.
You're lucky if they haven't damaged the leather panel underneath while cutting the laces holders out.

I seriously recommend you to not go through with this deal. If the jacket doesn't fit you, you're in trouble.

Many thanks @Mysteryo for sharing the Vinted link. I finally couldn't resist as IMO this The Flat Head jacket looks super cool and is brand new. The thick mouton collar is detachable and the lining is rather thick according to the seller. I hope the stitching is better than on the one posted by @Monitor but on the other hand my deerskin TFH jacket I sold last year had nice stitching and overall quality was quite nice.

The seller from France was very helpful and answered all my questions regarding size and sent me many measurement pics. After a friendly phone call with this passionate jacket collector during Lunch break we finally made the deal. Normally it should fit me well...but let's see middle/end of next week.

@JCSD had a Gap Suede Trucker he thought would fit me very well and let me know. All the measurements look good, only PTP is in that zone of well in some makes and models it’s fine, in others it’s a touch big. But hey if it is a touch large I’ll sell it for what I got it for and someone will be really happy. But JCSD is not only awesome for reaching out about it I told him with my wedding fast approaching (September) and trying to pay everything off; I wouldn’t have payment until this coming Thursday or Friday when I get paid. I said list it if you want and if it sells I will not cry haha. He said hey man I totally understand that I’ll hold it until then. This is why I love dealing internally with other TFL members. We don’t lie, try to rip off, or extort others. And often times make deals we would never do for outsiders. So got that on the horizon!

Hey so are you! We’ve dealt back and forth and you recently reached out. Just that one was a little out of my price range with the wedding coming up. Otherwise I would have given that one a shot too. We absolutely need to stick together.

@Blackadder got it, I thought you were on the hunt for one but that haul makes it more than enough straight zip chp style jacket

I always wanted a black badalassi jacket, @Robbie79 has one that he should be wearing more of (I do understand the issues with jacket rotation lol)

I'm sure we will not be disappointed with the leather. Good luck with the Hercules order @Tom71

This is me. Super excited on this project.

Black Badalassi with Grey or Black "Wild Card" lining.
It's a 4 pocket cafe racer w/ August collar (Sheene) with hwm details.
Zip sleeve like a cafe racer.
Nickel hardware Talon.
Chest pocket (ring pull) slanted like the board racer.
Hand warmers with bell pull zippers (close position towards the waistband).
No internal/external kidney panel.
No hwm yoke but w/ shoulder gusset (basically 1 piece back like how I like it).
Hidden size tag.
Thunder Bay label.
Steer hide label to bottom hem.
Internal pocket with snap.

How did you like it? I want a Badalassi FL jacket but at this rate I won't get it until next Fall.
Oh it has been a long hunt. I just have never found a Muholland at the right price.

I hope to get lucky for a black one in my size too. Hope you get yours too.

Yes you guys should stick together. You don’t want to come into the range of @JMax and @John D Maccarter and myself. It’s savage. Right there in the meaty part of the curve. It’s dog eat dog! Every time I see something I think “oh shit, these guys are an hour ahead and probably saw it first”. LOL
lol you guys are so funny with that but always end up making great deal/trades too

Snagged a Vanson Royale Enfield today. Been looking around for something like this for a while. Supposedly originally purchased last year w limited wear. Measurements look right, fingers crossed for the fit.

I was close on that one too but the 17.5” shoulder...way too trim. I’ve worn the model B in a 40” and it was tight but wearable. It’ll be interesting to see how this compares.

My impressions from reading are that Vanson tends to be at or larger than true to size, so if anything it may be bigger than I need. Intensely curious now! Will share deets on arrival of course.
