How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

From talking to postal employees in Western Michigan I gather the Detroit processing center is very short staffed right now, resulting in delays for mail coming into, or out of, the state.
What region are you in? I take the family to Union Pier every summer and I’m praying we are able to do it this year. It’s the happiest time of year for me. The SW side of the lake in MI is absolutely the best side imho. Although you can make a very good argument for Traverse City and the UP too.

Smaller, non-essential businesses are looking to open again on May 16, barring any further extension of the stay-at-home order. I'm not sure how movie theaters and dining in for restaurants are being addressed by the emergency order at that point, hasn't been a priority for me.

Also not sure if or how the rental home industry will be affected this summer.

Yeah I k ow folks who rented in April/May were refunded as the beaches etc were closed. I just hope stuff loosened up by June. Our place has a private beach so no public access but apparently rentals were kiboshed altogether, regardless of the beach or dwelling accommodations.
Grand Rapids is a cool town. My wife once had a hair up her ass to buy a vintage camper (thankfully it passed) but we drove to GR and Holland to look at a few. By the grace of God we came home empty handed.

We’ve been “camping out” the last few nights.

Well, the older one tried sleeping out on the trampoline first night...he went inside around midnight. The younger one wants to keep going (we started it as a cub scout adventure), but I'm thinking 2 nights in the tent might be enough for me. It's all good practice as we've gone and cancelled our Summer vacation, and are now looking for campsites in August. Might be the only way to vacation with the "distancing".

I was thinking campsite as well, but showers will be a problem. Unless one has a camper with a shower.

Bates arrived! Man. It’s sweet. Love Bates. They never disappoint. Honestly they are the only maker I’ve bought that has never failed the fit test. Thick and meaty hide, tailored like a suit jacket. I can dig it.

Cool. Which model? Size?

I always try to convince myself that I fit in their 42, but they run a bit small when compared to Vanson. Currently jumping through this hoop, again, with one on eBay.

No tag size. It’s larger than the 44”LL I usually seek. I’ll get some pics up. Super 70’s era pimpbot CR. The hide is the best I’ve had from Bates. Feels like very well worn CXL. I think Bates called it Dominion leather. Heavy, stiff and grainy cow.
