How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Speaking of Natal and @Monitor i really dug a Natal vest he had in the classifieds a while back, it was just too big. Been on the lookout for another for a whiiiiile

How do you find the leather on this jacket @Hh121 ? Looks thick and supple from here

That vest was really cool but very lightweight. Nothing like Hh's Natal, which used to be mine. That thing is made from 4-5oz hide. Very soft, easy to wear but monstrously heavy.

It looks pretty long on the photo. Reminds me of LW. I mean, considering most of the regular 40's are like 23-24" back, Long should be 26", I think? Shame about the pants. Man, I'd live in those things. It's still my dream to find those perfect ones that I actually would wear. But that's a really cool jacket, something special you got there.
I guess you are probably right. Lots of people are debating the average height of people in the 50s. Please however keep in mind that I am barely 5'6 and the sleeve length also fit and this is not a regular cut but still only 24.5" according to my measurement.
I guess when I looked at the seller's measurement I did not take into account (though it is pretty obvious in the photo) that he was using a soft measuring tape but did not pull it tightly, the actual measurement has up to half an inch deviation if you do it right.

Just received this one today. It's a Brooks with the black/red label. Not me in the photo, it actually fits me pretty well.

Get excited!

I am also expecting a delivery today. All the way from Dundee in Scotland to south Louisiana in 4 days.
I do t think I’ll be seeing this until
Next week. That is funny though b/c this is coming from LA to Chicago, priority mail and it’s already been a week.

The half price Himel x HTC from Papa Nui Cap Co finally came in from Australia. Arms are a bit fat on me but maybe I just need to lift some weights. Shoulders are near perfect and chest might be a bit roomy, but again, I'm in skinny mode. It's a pretty cool piece. been waiting for over a month for shipping LOL.

Secondhand board racer with August collar in brown Vicenza arrived.

Sleeves are longer than advertised :/

Aside from potentially dealing with shortening the sleeves, do y’all think the body fit on the back will relax with wear? Looks too long for my build because of how trim the cut is, but not sure how Vicenza break in might affect it.

Great find! Needs some break-in to better adopt to your body. Will look perfect with some wear!

Yeah, sleeves are too long. The rest looks good, IMO.

Thanks!!! I hope so. I'll give it some time before deciding whether or not I want to alter the sleeves. I'm sure your Himel is going to be siiiick

I really like the Seven with August collar, and the brown Vic hide looks great on this.

The (slight) issue with the back is the length vis-á-vis the relatively trim waist: there is not enough room for the hem to come down smoothly. I could live with that but would not wait that breaking the jacket in would relax the area significantly. The break-in might soften the hide a tiny bit, but it's not going to loosen the cut itself and create more room on the waist. That said, I guess break-in is not going to solve this.

I work at a mail order company and have been watching our USPS shipments closely. Around 1/3 are running heavily delayed. Many end up sitting in some of the transit points for close to a week before moving. Everything I've shipped eventually gets through but for now one must expect a good chance of significant delays.

Yeah I agree. TBH I don’t even really care. Weather is superb and cold stuff a plenty in the fridge.

From talking to postal employees in Western Michigan I gather the Detroit processing center is very short staffed right now, resulting in delays for mail coming into, or out of, the state.
