You sob you! You’re just getting such great things these days. The E, The HD that was better than expected. Now this. Congratulations! Don’t mind me I’ll be over here sulking about my genetics cursing me to be this small and missing out on 95% of the trades and sales around here. Haha
LOL...it comes in waves...lets not forget the massive fail/rhinestone cowboy jacket...I was due for a good one (or three).

I had strange dream last night about incoming model e, it is too big on me and soft like lambskin.

8.38 lbs Vanson model e arrived, I like the fit, leather is softer and thinner than rock and roll, the main problem is there are many abrasions on the jacket, many stitche holes as well, cigarette pocket can't snap in, I talked to Vanson and asking some compensation at least, not sure should I keep it or return it

That does look a bit... Amateur hour. Some of that stitching is downright sloppy.

Damn, the leather sure had changed.

It's a genuine shame they can't source hides like this anymore...

I agree with Ton. @Monitor, That hide has to be the best I have ever seen from Vanson! I would not mind paying more for a way better hide than what they have now. The weight and stiffness is there, but it is lacking character. I returned my 48 for a 46. The 48's leather was much better than my 46. The jacket I have now is heavily "printed" and almost rubber like.

@Hh, that jacket fits you well. I would be interested to know what Vanson has to say. I hope your new jacket doesn't squeak as loud as mine. Lol.

Do you have photos of your 46? If the serial number start with 8 there is large chance you get a "bad" and thin leather

I haven't had a chance to take any pics yet. My serial number starts with a 7. It isn't thin leather, just "corrected". A very heavy top coat. some spots appear "spongy". The fit and pattern are great on the bike, but the leather is definitely lacking.

Then it's still a old competition weight leather. My two best Vanson jacket are model b and rock and roll both start with 78

I'd almost think, given the recent comp weight, that going with z150 would be better. It seem far more consistent and natural. I think if I were to do another E it would be that or octagon. It's a shame their flagship leather isn't pulling its weight, so to speak.

Yes, you just remind me! How big is the pit to pit on your 42, I had 44 Model e and pit to pit only 21.5, the older version tends to run small
It was around 23" actually but small in the shoulders and too short. All my other E's were 44" or 46" and around 23.5"-24.5" respectively. The lambskin is dead on 24" and is a 44".

What you say about Vanson's fur collar? Did you get genuine sheepskin collar or synthetic one? Is it good compare to LW?
