High Sierra style black fedora

I am thinking of getting something in the High Sierra style.


Does anyone wear a black fedora? Any pics to share?

All my black hats are stingy brims - or just plain hideous. I've always thought of buying one, but after living in Jerusalem, I got associations (black hat = orthodoxy... and I'm not into orthodoxy). I do love that hat though, I like the whole ensemble, sort of Reservoir Dogs stark. Bogart is just great in that film.

What hat (model/brand/type/maker) were you thinking of?

I have been tossing around putting together a Roy "Mad Dog" Earle looks for a while now. I am just at the beginning stage. I have seen a few vintage looking Stetsons.
Any idea on the crown & brim length of his hat?

At a guess I'd say high crown, 5 to 5 1/2" and medium brim 2 1/2 to 2 3/4" Give or take. I'd have to look at the movie again. Others will probably make a better guesses than mine.
