KBS will warm a fella up.
Jeff the beer looks delicious. You bring the bowler look alive with your posts. Love it!

Today's snow and strong winds finds me in a very odd situation of having the day off. I have removed snow 3 times already. Just finished removing and filling the feeders. It takes a couple of the 5 gallon buckets to fill the bird feeders and then I need to tote out the sunflower seeds. Mentally stressed from the oddity of closing and tired from the outside chores I have taken a break by opening a Founders KBS. Jeff was correct the other day in that the KBS are retailed in 4 packs. I buy them and store them in my beer/wine refrigerator without the packaging. I posted up that I had at the ready a six pack of them. In reality I just had a bunch of bottles chilled and ready. The KBS is a welcome reward today. I sat on a deck chair in the snow and enjoyed sipping the rich tasty beer and watching my dog romp in the new snow. Glorious!

Yesterday afternoon after snow removal chores, walking the dog, starting the wood grill, and warming the sauna I was feeling tuckered out. A heavy green wool Damian Monsivais cap got the call to be worn while sitting on the dock on a snowy Adirondack chair and sipping a Guinness Stout. More to do, but the Stout break I really appreciated.

That looks good Jack. I've not heard of that one before.
Small distillery owned by Chivas Bros/Pernod Ricard. Most of their product is sold to go into blended Scotch. Independent bottlers like Signatory, Gordon & MacPhail, etc will bottle a few casks every now & then, making Longmorn hard to find.

Decisions, decisions, decisions on Tequila Tuesday. What's left of what I bought while gone in January. Brought home a mixed 4-bottle buy of t1 Tequila Uno & a bottle of Esperanto Repo besides these 3 Blanco's.

We're a few rungs above Jose Cuervo or Hornitos now. Good stuff!
Ha ha. Every time i think of Tequila, which was a favorite of mine, i laugh at the young Marine that went to the J’ville jail for riding a motorcycle (not sure who’s) in the rain, no helmet, shirt, shoes, just shorts at dawn after a long night of Cuervoing. Guess the “Occifer” didn’t appreciate the attire, or the attempt to elude his authority. Ha...fun times.

Ps: always wondered what happened to that motorcyle left at the side of a country road.

I chose the Esperanto Blanco for tonight. Nice true blue agave flavor. Like drinking at the Blue Trantula Bar. Wore one of my Rand Tom Horn's when I went out earlier.

Love this video & song. Plenty of Esperanto in this. Time for some Kenny & Grace Potter together.

I never was a Kenny Chesney fan, and had never heard of Grace Potter before, but this song grabbed me the first time I heard it. I wasn't surprised to find out that Matraca Berg had written it (she does a really fine rendition of it herself, too). Like you, I enjoy the video, too, for multiple reasons, and not just the hats!

Thanks for your post - I never could figure out what brand was in that unique bottle. That's a work of art all by itself.

Thanks Woodtroll. I knew the song had been around for a while but didn't know who wrote it. I'm not a big Chesney fan either but I have looked thru iTunes looking for enough of his songs to download & get this one. I like his arrangement of it. I've tried to learn to play this on guitar. I've got the strum down pretty good but the longer I practice I begin to slur the lyrics ;)

Grace Potter does a great cover of Neil Young's "Cortez the Killer", most recently with her on the piano & Joe Satriani on guitar. I would like to see Grace do more blues music; think she has the pipes for it. I'm a fan.

I have 3 empty Esperanto bottles now, looking to make a small table lamp/night light or candleholder out of them. The center has a glass blown blue agave plant in the hole. I don't know if it can be removed or not; I can't figure out how if it can. Should be pretty with a small LED light in it.

That’s a real nice photo. Those Tom Horns are so photogenic, and the tequila looks good. I don’t know tequila, but I do know that I had my first Añejo last month, and it was a completely different liquid than anything I’ve ever had before. Quite smooth, quite delicious. It was Don Tomas I think.

I love a proper proportioned Tom Horn crease too.

I'm not familiar with Don Tomas. Just be sure to stay away from any mixto's like Cuervo Gold (notice Cuervo doesn't call it Anejo because it's a blend). Blends can have other juices in them other than agave nectar. If you drink 100% good blue agave you might decide you like a Reposado or a Blanco better than an Anejo or Extra Anejo. Experiment with good brands to learn what you like.

I remember he lost his house on the Virgin Islands to that hurricane. On one of those gossip TV shows I overheard he has bought property on Malibu Beach. When I first saw this video I thought it might be filmed at his new house but it turns out it's at a private club (plus the video predates the hurricane). Nice digs!
