My favorite St. Patrick's Day tradition is the brunch here in Boston where all of the local politicians get together to skewer each other with good-natured ribbing and name-calling, typically with the Irish and Italians taking sides against each other. It's pretty much a cut-loose free-for-all and normally involves some solo singing by said politicians. This is the first year they televised it

Huge platters of corned beef, piping hot slabs of cabbage cooked to perfection and boiled red potatoes. There was even a group of claddagh dancers. And of course lots of ice cold mugs of Guinness Irish Stout. Had one too many of those. I'm very sleepy now, so goodnight to you all.
