Saints be praised garage lass?

Me once had a belly full of devils brew,
met either Jesus or a leprechaun in garage?:p
Lots of luck redden that demon

BTW: a side note I agree "Danny Boy" belongs at a funeral like me Grandmothers, times have changed.

Danny Boy definitely needs to go away. Written by an Englishman who never set foot in Ireland? Definitely NOT the song to represent the Irish :)

My favorite St. Patrick's Day tradition is the brunch here in Boston where all of the local politicians get together to skewer each other with good-natured ribbing and name-calling, typically with the Irish and Italians taking sides against each other. It's pretty much a cut-loose free-for-all and normally involves some solo singing by said politicians. This is the first year they televised it :)

I just got back from a very traditional St. Paddy's Day Celebration.
Huge platters of corned beef, piping hot slabs of cabbage cooked to perfection and boiled red potatoes. There was even a group of claddagh dancers. And of course lots of ice cold mugs of Guinness Irish Stout. Had one too many of those. I'm very sleepy now, so goodnight to you all.

Yes, they are a handy shade! I accessorised mine yesterday with a long malachite bead necklace.

A good day - I was well behaved. Bacon, cabbage and potatoes for dinner. No Guinness - it never seems to taste as good away from Ireland, and makes me miss Dublin bars and County Cork too much.

unfortunately, in Ireland, the traditional way of celebrating St Patricks day seems to be painting your face green, drinking 27 pints of Budweiser and getting sick down your front....

Cheers, all! I've been flying my Irish flag out front all this month.

I was a busy bee last night, as my husband decided to "take orders" for my soda bread for his entire office! I spent half the night baking. lol

Tonight we'll be doing the usual - quiet evening at home with corned beef brisket, colcannon, soda bread, and of course, Guinness or Smithwick's. I'll be sure to dance a quick reel for good measure!
