P. & C. Habig Wien Hausmarke "Special Qualität Handerbeit", 58 cm, production year 1957 (based on paper label). The felt is heavy in weight but still easily hand creases. The sweatband is really fantastic with a elaborate P. & C. Habig Wien stamping. As usually the overall quality and form are of the highest order. This hat was made for the famous A. Breiter München hat store (still in business today).

P. & C. Habig Wien Homburgs were considered the highest of quality in Germany and Austria. I actually discovered that Konrad Adenauer (the first first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany) wore a P. & C. Habig Wien Homburg (see link).

Yet another great Habig, Steve. I have a couple of hats sold via A. Breiter, München. Like Habig never made a bad hat, I don't believe Herr Breiter ever sold a bad one either.

As always Steve, not only is your hat collection enviable, so too is your hat ephemera collection. That is one cool advert. Also proof that Germans have, and have always had, a sense of humour: contrary to false assumptions.

Great find, Steve. A beautiful example of Habig Quality. The sweatband stamping is fabulous and the angled bow keeper is a nice touch.

One more then? Ok.
Anton Pichler fedora in a colour called mongol mele. Size 53 with the underwelt brim at 5,4cm and the crown at 10cm at the pinch. And a fancy ribbon to boot. There are so many colours in this felt that it's mindboggling. Very nifty little hat (bought it as a gift for someone).
