Alan and Mike, thank you my friend for your comments, I really appreciate it.
It was sure a great day and the fleamarket was very big. It takes 5 hours to walk through.

Wunderbar Manfred!
It was two weeks we are in East Germany and today on the way home in Garmisch I found a Superb Etche Borsalino in a small 57 size. I let it in the shop and became envious of your wonderful finds.

Manfred, Great to see your fantastic flea market finds including the amazing G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro & C. find (I commented)! The Echter Mayser "Superbe" is really super! Very nice Möckel too!

Today, my trip to Bonn, to a big fleamarket was great. I found some treasures. Borsalino, Mayser Superbe and Möckel!
Borsalino in the Borsalino Brotherhood. You will like it Steve!
This Mayser Superbe is nearly new! Unworn. He has a little spot on the ribbon.

Here are some price tags that were in the hat containers from the Czech find. I am not sure if they are associated with the hats. I also have no idea what is meant by SISI. What is interesting is two are in German.

Hearing regarding tariffs on imported "Trimmed and Sewed Straw Hats" (Boaters) and "Fur Felt Hats for Men". I found this while researching Bill & Caldwell "Importers of Men's Stiff, Soft and Straw Hats" 743-745 Broadway, New York. It shows how small the number of imported finished hats and the impact of tariffs. Also specifically mentions Austrian Velours.

I posted this here because you can see how much the price of Austrian Velour (Peschel) hats went up from 1913 to 1921.

1913: Peschel Velours Quality L: $17.40

1921: Peschel Velours Quality L: $30.00
