Nice Fleamarket find in Düsseldorf!

A Wegener Manhatten, probably from the 50s
After a cleaning and steam a nice hat comes out! A soft seal quality!

Thanks gentlemen, It's indeed in a nice clean condition now. The Color is a nice cream what looks great with the ribbon. Wegener did a good job on him. :)

Thank you! I'm gonna need some advise on restoring it. There are some moth holes in it and I would also like to increase the size by one, if possible.

Moth holes are most a problem. You can use a fine sandpaper if they are not so deep! For the size! Remove the Ribbon and use a Hat Stretcher and steam over a few days to stretch it a bit!
More than one Size will be a problem. You need probably a new sweatband.

With the finish it's best to leave it alone. I would steam and brush with the nap. Changing the size will require a re-block and some reduction in brim width and new sweatband. The sweatband is not in very good condition but still it's rare find so if it was me I would just keep as is and look at it occasionally. :) By the way can you add the following to above the photos?

Brüder Böhm "Bristol", size 56cm, probably made at the Nový Jičín (Neutitschein) factory, probably 1930s.

I know that only a couple people have commented here but this is one of the more special / unique hats that has been posted recently. Thank you for finding it!
