Manfrerd, Thanks! Could be Rehfus & Cie. that made it. I need to look to see if there any clues behind the sweatband. The other one I have had a generic paper label.

Richard, Yes both of my Borcherts are very nice.

Mike & Josh, Thanks! It does have some nice detail work.

So I picked this one up on the bay .... simply named as "Jewish Fedora"

The item description just listed it as bought ten years ago good condition except small burn mark in liner.
The only photo was of the hat wrapped in plastic and foam from a distance sitting on the box.
Naturally I was the only bidder and got it for £10
Did some research on Belmondo Hats Ltd, The company was dissolved in 1993 , over 20 years ago.
It was located in a prominently Jewish area of North London.

Anyway got it today and it's a lovely Habig!

Paddy, Super! I have heard that P. & C. Habig Wien made hats for the Jewish market. Maybe Besdor (Steven) can shed some light. How wide is the brim? This is a later one so probably 1970s or 1980s.

Manfred just sent me some photos and I had to post this one again. It's such a fantastic hat and one of my favorite model names.
