Mario & Manfred, Thank you both for the Bisam = Muskrat confirmation. I haven't come across a Muskrat/Bisam felt hat but I wouldn't be suprised if they were produced.

My new German Wilke fedora. size 58.
Falsely advertised as a Tyrolean hunter's hat or trachten. It was also advertised as being blue!
I'm guessing 60s.

Wilke post 1945 remains a mystery. C.G. Wilke of Guben* didn't survive WII but the name emerged again (under some other company) in West Germany.

*The town of Guben (east of Berlin) was the major hat making center (numerous hat factories) of Germany up to WWII.

The Orkan mark along with Bruno Sturm Hutmanufaktur are new to me. I will have to be on the look out for both. It is going take me some time to go through all the info in these publications.

Brüder Böhm Wien Melone

Brüder Böhm Wien Melone, measures out about 58cm but needs some conforming. This is the first Brüder Böhm I have come across from the Wien factory. There is no paper label behind the sweatband (that I can find) and no logo on the sweatband.

Hut-Schick Wien Melone

Hut-Schick Wien Melone, measures about 59cm. Not sure if this is factory or just a retail store. From the same seller as the BB Melone.

Manfred, Thank you for the verification plus the Hut-Schick related links. There is no paper label so another mystery maker. Maybe the Austro-Hungarian Hatter's Gazette will eventually shed some light.
