German & Austrian Hutmachers

I heard back from the British Library (see below) so I will attempt to order paper copies of their holdings.

"We do hold some issues of the Deutsche Hutmacher-Zeitung, although not a complete run. According to our catalogue we have:

Jahrgang 38 no 1 (6 Jan 1906) - Jahrgang 46 no 52 (29 Dez 1914) and Jahrgang 52 no 2 (10 Jan 1920) -Jahrgang 53 no 52 (25 Dez 1921), with some additional issues missing, in the general library collections, shelfmark P.P.5242.bbd.
Jahrgang 54. Nr.1 (7 Jan.1922 ) - Jahrgang 60 .Nr.52 (29 Dec.1928) on microfilm in the Newspaper Library collections, shelfmark MF352A NPL

The German Union Catalogue of Serials (http://www.zeitschriftendatenbank.de/) also identifies holdings, although none appear to be complete, at the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek in Leipzig and the Universitäts- und Stadtbibliothek Köln.
"

Here is what is available at the Berlin State Library. I sent them an e-mail so will update when I receive a reply back.

Echter Mayser Box Bow, size 59cm. Probably early 1960s. Interesting bow work on this one.

Thats great News Steve. Congrats.
I'm curious how such a newspaper looks

The Austrian National Library has nearly a complete set of Wiener Hutmacher-Zeitung / Österreichisch-Ungarische Hutmacher-Zeitung / Hutmacher-Zeitung. I am going to order a complete set for 1912 and eventually one complete set from each decade.

"The Austrian National Library is in hold of the following years of the Hutmacher-Zeitung (title varies: at the beginning Wiener Hutmacher-Zeitung, at the end of the 19th century until 1918: Österreichisch-Ungarische Hutmacher-Zeitung; from 1919 onwards Hutmacher-Zeitung): 1885-94. 1897. 1902-1938. "

I think they will end up looking something like this collection I saw at the Novy Jicin Museum (Czech Republic). This publication was for Sudetenland and Boheimia hat industry. I should also look into a German version of this publication.

Manfred, Unfortunately this book doesn't belong to me. :) It belongs to the Novy Jicin Museum, Czech Republic. They have the complete collection up to the 1970s but they haven't had them scanned. Novy Jicin (was Neutitschein up to WWI) is the city Hückel and Peschel were originally from and others such as Pitchler and Brüder Böhm had factories. Neutitschein was the epicenter of Austrian Velour (finest in the world) production. I visited the Novy Jicin museum and TONAK factory (was Hückel up to 1945) back in April.
