I used to own this hat and can confirm it is indeed pre-war. Sold it to @baronkurtz who was in Australia at the time though he has been known to live in the UK.

Thanks Steve - I haven't really left, just cut back on the hat purchases a lot! This one was too good to pass though

Well its been awhile. On a side note - I believe the original ribbon was missing or damaged on that one so I had it replaced with a ribbon from a boater of the same era.

Good to see you again, Wayne. That is the real deal alright, so without a doubt pre-war. Nice find and wonderful shape to it.

GB Borsalino fu Lazzaro western hat in the colour banana. Size 58 (but fits me perfectly) with the raw edge brim at almost 9cm and crown 11,5cm at the center dent. Not an original Fu lazzaro, but the more modern revival. This one dates from 1982. I have the feeling this one could have been made in Canada for Borsalino. Sturdy but not stiff and not as refined as the Borsalino dress hats, but very pleased to have this one.

They are great, but the asking price was just not realistic for me. I'm amazed actually that they seem to have sold.

This little hat has suffered some repairs but is definitely a wonderful second fu Lazaro in the collection! It is tough to get good pics of a black hat.

The very, very fine thin felt is in great condition but there are clear wear marks from the crease at the front and back. If I have Ignacio flip it inside out it will look good as new.

The seller listed it as midnight blue, but next to another black hat it looks pretty black to me…

Not on par with the original one posted above, but it was worth taking a shot at.
"Modern" GB Borsalino fu Lazzaro fedora in bismuto colour. Size 57 with the overwelt brim at 5cm and the center dent at 10cm. Long hair finish to the felt. Well made Borsalino hat, but nothing spectacular.
