Up for sale is one of my 1950s Borsalino hats.
Specs:
Tagged US 7 1/4 it fits true to size.
5.5" open crown (full, straight crown, model name Gorasgu) and 2 5/8" brim with the high flanging that Borsalino did so well.
Unreeded sweatband with the corrugated front section typical of Borsalino up to the 1950s.
Warm mid grey (color name Amitata) with black ribbon and silver brim binding.
Liner, sweatband leather and sweatband stitchings are in excellent condition, there are no popped stitches. The hat has obviously been used, though. Over the years, the crease has left a few discolorations on the felt; they're visible when the hat is popped open crown, but not conspicuos when creased due to the mid grey felt color.
The felt is still very pliable and has all the qualities of the earlier Borsalino hats; it's thin, lightweight and dense.
