Really like these derbies! I would like to add a chonky derby to my collection one day. These and the ones made by Nicks are superb
Coming in hot (hopefully soon, still waiting on the black version of this in shinki teacore) Benzein Chelsea Boot in Cigar Horse Butt

Those look great! Have you had boots or shoes with horse leather before? I just got my first pair with horsehide, specifically toscanello horserump from Maryam. I love the way it feels and might actually prefer it over cow/steer hide. The rolls that are starting to form are just wonderful and I think it looks much better than regular creasing.

Thanks man. The benzein I mentioned is toscanello horse rump too but a service boot and the black Truman is also horse rump. I love how it feels on the foot, it's thick but it's not hard to wear. I haven't been able to wear them as much but it's always nice when I do. Are your toebox unstructured? I've never had one so I'm not seeing a lot of rolls

My pair from him is the TDD-01 model and has an unstructured toe box. I’ll post some pictures of them tomorrow, not a whole lot of wear of them yet. Only have had them for a month so I want to say about 15 wears or so

These have been posted before now on this thread. Made in Australia suede Blundstone.
I actually find these too hot in our summer , so they are a winter wearer for me.
R.M.Williams I have a pair of those too , had them several years. Blinman the model. Size Aussie 10H
Kept strictly as dress boots, guaranteed if I wear them to ride my Harley they will get scuffed !
Weddings , barmitzvahs , funereal wear you get the drift.
Actually the Blundstones are WAY more comfortable.

I have a few Blundies and Redbacks for yard work. I have dressier RMWs for Weddings, Parties, Anything (a great Melbourne band, btw). The RMW Gardener is a great casual boot, but my absolute favorite is the Lachlan, seen here when I first got them:

That's a good looking design, the toscanello pairs that boot well from the photos they have on instagram. I only wore mine once so far lol

The Made in Australia Blundstones are drastically better than the Blundstones made today overseas. I work in shoe repair, and one of the most common repairs we do are Blundstone resoles. The shape and quality of materials are night and day between the old and new ones. The Australian just look so much better, actually closer to the RM shape. The new one are bulbous and not appealing in my opinion, also the soles rot and disintegrate after 5 years of so. I really enjoy working on the older ones but man I do despise the new ones.
@powerserge Yes chonky is definitely the right word heh. They basically filled the spot these Grant Stones did, which were much sleeker. I really loved the leather on them but the fit just wasn’t there, and the sole was too soft IMO.

That pair in particular would look much better with dedicated sole and heel. I feel that the boot or shoe needs to be more bulky to pull of the wedge sole. It works much better on your White's I think

It's how they were promoting the model and I pretty much only change the sole and kept the leather and design pretty much intact. Gotta put some miles on them!! :)

Yes powerserge. This is my last pair of Tasmania Australia made Blundstones. I wore "Blunnies" exclusively for 20 years. All slip on elastic sided round toed oil kip leather. Some suede pairs on the journey. On the Harley and with shorts and they still looked good ! Soles were solid non air type and lasted the life of the boot. Production moved offshore and longevity declined maybe 10 years ago. I bought up a few pairs but all have been worn and gone bar these. Now Rossi still make a good boot and 100% Australian. My wife wears those in "winter". I have Rossi desert boots in my roster.
