Oh crap, I just forgot about something since there's talk about icing. I eat marshmallow fluff straight from the jar...to the point of getting headaches because of the sugar overdose...then I eat some more...and toast it with a culinary torch...and before you know it, all gone!

It's also awesome on cold pancakes.

Yes to that one, too! I like burning the Peep over the flame from my stove. The sugar melts into this yummy, chewy glob! And I like to burn them. Mmmmm, marshmallow carbon!! :essen:

I go there for a lunch that I know is too big, vowing that I'll only eat half and save the rest for later. Never works! I also don't go very often, because I don't want to tire of it. So, once every month or so, I'll treat myself.

I try to take someone new each time I go. I took my grandmother there in the mid '90s. I ordered mild sauce for her and hot for me. I accidently swapped them when we got home. . . . I think that's what killed her. :D (Just kidding. She died a few years later at the age of 81.)

Took a friend there after fixing the brakes on his car. He said his wife was going to make dinner for me as payment. I said, "No. Let's got to Hungry Al's." Al asked him, "Hot or mild sauce?" Jim looked at me and I said, "How much do you love your kids, Jim?" He ordered hot for the adults and mild for the kids.

Also milk. I could drink a gallon in two days. One day if I tried. :D

Thanks a lot Lee, now you've got me craving BBQ!! I'm totally taking a ride out to Newton to get it from Blue Ribbon. The best BBQ I've had outside of real southern BBQ.. They have all the things you list. I'm dyin' to try their sweet potato pie! I like everything there but their green beans. They don't use fresh beans, and most of the southern bbq I've had they don't use them either, but I'm not a fan of the canned kind. But their collards are great!

I eat frosting out of the can too. I'm also very bad when it comes to cheese cake with blueberry or strawberry, or cherry too, and carrot cake, an icing made of cream cheese, it doesn't get much more decadent than that!!

By the way thanks for the peeps suggestion! I just toasted one until it was dark and bubbly, what a delight!!!

I shouldn't be reading this thread; it happens to be giving me bad thoughts...mainly about chips, and cookies, and cake.

Seems my main weakness snack wise are chips and popcorn...basically salt. I go through phases with sugar; I crave it like mad for a year or so, then it doesn't do anything for me for another year or so. I think I'm currently going back into the craving it phase...grrr.

When I was in high school, I was obsessed with Nissen's Creme Horns, delicious lard-based pastry filled with sugared Crisco. I'd buy a six-pack of them on the way home from school, and eat every crumb before supper. And by some miracle my weight never went any higher than 120 pounds.

Now I'm thirty years older and my weight is a good deal more than 120 pounds, and I haven't had a Nissen's Creme Horn in at least a decade. Maybe I need to reevaluate my diet...

Chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting, key lime pie and Cadbury Cream Eggs...Mmmmmm. But my biggest downfalls are Snack'rs pumpkin seeds from Smart and Final and pomagranites. Snack'rs are roasted and salted, but actually toasty like home toasted seeds. Downside is they have about a zillion fat calories. And pomagranites, I can eat 3 a day easy. They're really good for you, but sometimes they cost up to $3 a piece. It drives my husband nuts if don't at least try to save money and ration them.

If I buy Milano Cookies, generally I will have eaten most of them on the trip home from the grocery store. But they're just so good! It's like I can't help it.

On cold days, when I want a couple grilled hot dogs, I'll cook them over an open range, too. I stab them with a long-timed fork and roll them over the flame. I cook flour tortillas over an open range, too: flip 'em a few times and slather on the butter. Mmm, mmm, GOOD! (Oh, wait! That slogan's taken.) :D

Here's something to try for your next BBQ: Slice an unpeeled banana lengthwise on the inside curve and open it up. Cram all the mini mallows you can into it and then pack in pieces of milk chocolate. Pour in a little grenadine, wrap with foil, and place on grill for about ten minutes. You're in for a treat!

Thanks for the tip, Diamondback. I love Johsonville brats (is it "brots"? Now I'm not sure. :D) I haven't tried the cheddar ones, though! I'll have to look for them.

When I go to a friend's house for Superbowl Sunday (the only time I ever watch any sport other than cycling) he always requests that I bring enough for everyone. I got the idea from an exgirlfriend, then the recipe from their commercial, and tried them for the first time at his place three years ago. They were a HUGE hit! At the end of the night, all the brats were gone, and Juan was left with hot dogs and hamburger patties. He now cooks less of those. :D

I boil them in beer with a couple bell peppers and onions for about thirty minutes. Then I put them on the BBQ grill and cook them until the skin is crispy. Sometimes, I'll change up the recipe a little. (I tried cooking them with lemon juice, once, but it wasn't good. Next year, I may try tossing a couple small slices of lime into the beer.)

Put one in a bun and cover it with the peppers and onions. Add mustard and/or catsup, if you wish.

Uh . . . well, I just buy something cheap. If that runs out due to a miscalculation on my part, I grab a Corona from Juan's fridge . . . much to his consternation. lol I've used Bud and Bud light, too. Any beer that tastes like, well, beer will do. :D

I'm not a beer drinker, myself, but I like the flavor it adds to the brats. My best advice is to try your favorite beer first. Oh! Be sure to include a few of teh seeds from the peppers. Knocks it up a notch. lol

Hmm! Just thought of something. I hear dark ales have more flavor. Maybe I'll try one of them soon.

OTOH, my version'll be without the onions and peppers--I get bad heartburn from 'em, seems to run in the family. Maybe some Bells, but not too many...

Bell peppers are all I use. I'm afraid to use any others for fear they might kill me. Mainly, they're for flavor while boiling. But, putting them on top after they're finished charring is a treat. They're also much mellower after the boil.

I get nasty heartburn, too. But I feel that's why huge corporations created antacids. :D

And cheese:) :) :) - especially bluecheese, goatcheese and swiss/french ementhaler....no, any kind of cheese. Except lowfat, it tastes of nothing and feels like rubber.
The best cheese always have tiny little "teardrops" in the holes hen you carve it- then you know its good and tasty.

I will be cooking those tomorrow. YUMMMMMMEEEEE Boil them in beer with a cut up onion and green pepper. Extra yummy then put the onion and green pepper on top of it.

Well if I finished reading before posting. It has already been said. Any beer works. My husband perfers Pabst Blue Ribbon. But that him and his craziness....
