Excellent. You must be 5*s best customer. You're doing the forum a service by posting your pics and experiences.I’ve got one lined up if that comes to pass!
Each jacket has been a learning experience, that’s for sure. I think @Hh121 really paved the way in showing what 5* can do with heavy leather. If they are able to source it, that most certainly is a game changer. I’ve always been pleased with how my jackets have been put together, any errors, have been my fault in either the design or spec. I anxiously awaiting my next one, which is due tomorrow b/c I took some unproven risks in the sizing.Excellent. You must be 5*s best customer. My tasteis that too short could ruin your design.Quick question as I'm having second thoughts. I've asked for a 24" measured at the back but I'm thinking it might be too long. My CR is 24.5" and I definitely want this second design shorter. Do you think 23.5" would be enough or even shorter?
I'll discuss with Shawn after I see the pattern anyway but I thought I'd ask for your opinion.

View attachment 326026 I used olive heavy cotton twill as the liner and olive stitching .The olive tone of the stitching is quiet subtle .It almost looks a little bit beige .The bobbin thread is thinner and looks like the liner and the thick top thread has a that beige olive colour
I think it depends on the style .A jacket with side adjusters need a inch more length in my opinion then a straight hanging jacket because it rides up when pulled tight .
I'm not a good advisor there.
Maybe you can make your CR a little shorter with double-sided adhesive tape and then take a photo? Then you can probably see best if you like it?

That looks freaking brilliant man. I’m going to have to pick your brain about how you aged the russet steer sample you have and apply it on a larger scale with my jacket. Seems you’ve developed a good technique for maximizing these hides attractiveness.Olive Stitching .Black Goat .Buffed to a shine by me .

I think you can do 1" shorter than this without the jacket showing the belt, your CR is covering the front pocket of your jeans and reaching your rear pocket opening from what I see on the pic, so I think you can reduce 1" safelyQuick question as I'm having second thoughts. nice buffing, maybe more beewaxing and hair dryer here and there (not everywhere) maybe on collar tip, on pocket's welt, somewhere on the cuff, on the raised part of the creases to catch light, adding on more shine but without being shiny all aroundOlive Stitching .Black Goat .Buffed to a shine by me .
