Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

That thing is riddled with mold. Every one of those spots. It's garbage. Maybe it could be treated, if caught early but it looks already half eaten, and I wouldn't want to let it inside the house to spread to the rest of my collection. People who sell things like that are about a step above selling smallpox blankets.

Haha. Well said.

I have so far managed to lay off. I did find this again. Ridiculous. My mint one should then go for one million dollars lol.

Yeah but yours doesn’t come with a built in greenhouse of Psilocybin mold and spores so naturally it’s not nearly as intoxicating and can’t fetch the same sum. If you even smell that jacket you trip balls for a week. Burn the sleeve on your exhaust? High five Timothy Leary and drop dead on the spot.

This jacket sold for $55 in offer up in less than 20 minutes. I believe some foreign resellers are snatching jackets from local collectors: https://offerup.com/item/detail/1463923524
This jacket has all the bells and whistles of how a jacket build should be.

The jacket looks like the late 30s based on design and zippers. It reminds me a bit of the Californian police jackets. The belt straps and other details. I contacted the seller and did not get a response. Probably, others called and told the seller they were willing to pay more. That is why she was late in contacting me with the sold message. In offer-up, many games are played.

I have a picture of a Star Glove with this front pocket design.

Not that I enjoy paying Fees (OR SALES TAXES) but I feel like with OfferUp----You get what you DON'T pay for.

I have bought on every platform except Grailed so far and every time I venture into OfferUp...... It leaves a bad taste for me. Poshmark has its own frustrating issues (as do they all I suppose) but with OffeUp---it seems like there are a lot of dead or stale listings and it feels like. the Sellers are often less than motivated to communicate much. Its a BUY IT or LEAVE IT deal in most cases in my experience because the back and forth seems like you're sending Carrier Pigeons compared to other platforms.

I get it. Its FREE. Maybe I have just got spoiled by other platforms or had bad experiences. I DID pick up a cool JL Cafe Racer for a good price one time on OfferUp and I DO look there from time to time to beat the bushes but for the most part, I'm not a fan.
