I know the shawl collar jacket with patch pockets is not an exclusive Himel design, I'm sure Himel based it on a vintage original. But why not choose to copy one of the many other vintage cossack designs instead? There are many.

This is the jacket Dave based (copied) his Heron from.

They look almost identical at first glance but Greg’s design is completely different.

Fair point and yes, I do see the differences. I guess I was just hoping to see him do a repro of a cossack design that stands out from the ones other makers are already doing.

completely different is a bit of a stretch..

not much room to complain when you reproduced a vintage design in the first place tho.

My new Field/Toni Idaho arrived today.

Not being an expert in the field, I nonetheless dare to say, that the quality is the same as with my jacket made by the man himself.

It's one of the 500 quid ones in the unspecified brown cowhide. There is a lot of grain showing already. The hide is very soft and light which is a good thing as I have a heavy jacket already. It's comparable in weight to my Vincenca Aero premier highwayman but much more supple.
Love it so far!

12% HST plus about 12 bucks for the Fedex/UPS customs clearing. No duty. 12% HST is calculated based on the declared price (wink wink).

If I had a business, I probably wouldn't post something like this. It might offend customers who have been waiting a long time for their jackets.

Easy fix... implement a buy now pay later method, that way you could feel like you're paid for the effort

This is also relevant for the consumer - if you pay up front, when you get the jacket it’s free since you already paid.
