The Wrigley Mansion in Pasadena, CA.

I went on a field trip to the home in grade school.

That's the only Wrigley home that I've not visited. I've been to the one on Catalina Island (could you imagine owning Catalina Island) , the one in Phoenix (where they owned the Arizona Biltmore next door) , the one in Lake Geneva (WI) and the one below in Chicago.

The Chicago house is interesting in that the Wrigleys let it go vacant for over 50 years. Seems that during the Depression there was an attempted kidnapping (think Lindbergh) and they moved to a nearby apartment building which offered more security. Caretakers lived in the coach house and kept the place up (it was fully furnished, dripping with windows and fixtures by Tiffany) but the Wrigleys never returned there to live.

The one in Pasadena was Mrs. Wrigleys favorite.
I've been to Catalina many times, but never went there. Hopefully I'll be able to visit the one in Phoenix when we move, since it'll only be a short distance away :)

I did read once somewhere that Phil bought the house for her so that she would have somewhere comfortable to watch the Rose Bowl Parade.

Hello again everybody! I'm sorry I haven't been on the Fedora Lounge in a while. Things have been a bit crazy on my end. Plus, I've been feeling a little bit down lately, but coming here to see all the things people have posted has given me something to smile about. So thank you again to all that have posted. :)

The 1886 Queen Anne cottage at the LA County Arboretum in Arcadia made famous by the TV show Fantasy Island

The old Highland Park Division police station, built in 1925 and now the LAPD Historic Society Museum, whose facade can be seen in numerous cop shows from the '70s.

I love spending time at the Arboretum. One of my favorite hang outs. Also, I really love peacocks, so I love seeing them walking around the place. :D I also love the near by coach barn. That has to be one of the most beautiful barns that I have ever been through.

I also have seen the Police Station too. I finally got to see that on MOTA Day (Museums of the Arroyo Day).
