There is a sucker born every minute.
And the guy who waits twenty years, and buys a low-mileage example for 1300 bucks.
So you paid scrap metal value on it?
More or less, and the thing's still like new. Ol' Tommy Boy knows how to talk down a price. He was asking 2500.
Ho man! I need you out here then.
I have been looking at this one as a project:
Heck! That's hardly a project, even! How much?
He wants 3900 for it but it has been in storage forever and doesn't run etc.
Wish I was there to help you, bet I could get it for somewheres between 25 and 2800.
Is she a '56 Olds?
Really?:

Everyone here, I'm sure knows I love music. I cannot get my radio in my car to work. Dash is in pieces right now. I'm going to go crazy with no tunes!

My grandpa had one, red and white two door hardtop. Of course, that was back in the late fifties lol
California car or not, times are tough and folks need the cash. Heck, I got my first house and all the furniture at a garage sale for fifteen cents. Just gotta be patient and persistent
(Sorry for the delay in a reply JP)
Yes. It's called the take the drink from your hand and straight into my mouth trick. I'm hoping that all the staring will either make you sleepy (thus making it easy to take the drink from your hands) or all the staring will release my telekinetic powers. See piece of cake.
Ouuuuu!!! Love the car JP.
I do too---especially the true spoke wheels. Tom is going to kill me because they aren't likely original though.
He says it has fender skirts but I don't see them. I do see the sun shade though.
Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids not The Most Interesting Man in the World.
Good luck in getting the car JP. Taking cash might not be a bad idea. I've always heard as a recommendation that if a person should go to a vintage show, they should bring lots of cash. It's supposed to be able to help you get a better deal from the seller and some times to "save tax" (legally I don't think they can get away with not charging sales tax, so I think they must either figure that in already or don't tell the IRS! :eeek: ) I can't imagine that should be any different from buying a car. In fact, I believe pickers (like on American Pickers) they do a lot of their dealings with cash (and they have bought cars on the show!).
