You know, I'm going to venture a guess that perhaps these "ladies" are actually policemen in wigs and women's clothing.

I was actually wondering if they were men in drag when I looked at it... but never asked... figured I'd let that to someone else!!!

There's kind of this myth that all women before our own era where uber-thin, prim, proper girls doing nothing but either looking for a husband or caring for 12 children after they got one. Everyone who believes that should view this thread. Clearly, women were just as diverse and fun-loving then as they are now.
